I dunno. I accidentally disabled spy movies and now I can never see them...
when you do a mission with assasin or spy open the message you get and uncheck the liltle box that says: Dont show this type of movie again
i already started a thread like this ages ago.. look here
http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=70195
i hope this answers ur question.
EDIT:
Ah! i remember now, Aristorcrat's post wasnt the exact solution but it lead me to it..
[event_movies] is not the variable concerned.. there is another one in that same file.. i dont rememeber exactly what it is but u should be able to tell since its kind of logically named. just tinker around with it.
@Wooter
my experience was that that little checkbox did not appear anymore. thus i needed this workaround. hope this helps

Wait, spies get movies too? I must have disabled them and there is no successful mission prompt for spies as there is for assassins. Assassin movies I got back already.
hehe, thanks, it was pretty stupid though, because of my bad english, when it said:" don't show this type of movie again", i though it wouldn't show "this" movie again ,not all the movie
by the way, anyone know how many "different" movies in game ?

nope, i'm at work now, i'll try and tell you later, btw

yes, the sentence's wording is wrong. it literally means "do not show this particular movie type again". It should have been worded as: "do not show (any) movies again."
well, i just dl and installed some mod , and now things works, but sorry, i really don't know why

The replies above are great if you are playing vanilla - it's just a matter of reenable the movie to show again, like wrote above...
But this problem (missing movies) are more frequently when you start to play mods that uses a separated install (using that .bat file). The premisse is that the game will load first the mod directory and after that will load all the others files from the main game installation. But for some folders this isn't true and the mod/game will run without these files. This is the case of the assasin, infiltration and others movies: after install/use some mods they will just desapear but the game will runs without problem and some ppl you never notice this fact.
The solution is simple: just copy all your...\ data\fmv folder to your mod folder (in the correct place like the original install) and it's fixed!!
(notice that some few mods already have this problem fixed because they already have the fmv folder inside)
Cheers,
Rubini.
I've only seen the spy movies... i must say... the spy in the bush one was funny at first but now its getting kind of stupid! I can't wait to see an assassin movie!
The good thing about the movies is that they all start exactly the same but there's two or three different endings (success, failure, failure and capture). If you thought the Spy in the bushes was amusing wait until you see the Assassin playing with the snake or hiding behind the door. There also seem to be some movies that are rare, I use Assassins a lot and there is one movie I have only ever seen twice... it might have to do with the target because both times I saw it I was after the Faction Leader.
I've still not seen a successful "hiding behind door" assassin movie. Mine just always dies.![]()
Odd. I play vanilla 1.2 M2TW and use lots of assassins, but have had just a few failed assassination attempts which ended in death of my agent. And none of these were the "behind the door" one. I have seen probably 20 "behind the door" movies.
Maybe I play it too conservatively and you play too aggressively? I typically do not let my agents attempt missions for which the possibility of success is less than 70%, and I try to keep it in the 80% range. Most of my targets are merchants and churches, followed by priests, diplomats, princesses, and captains.
I've lost several knife throwers (out of about maybe 20 attempts) and one or two guys burning down churches (out of maybe 30 attempts).
Like the "behind the door" missions, I have seen probably 20 or more successful "dart blower in the barrel" movies, another 20 or more successful "snake in the bed" movies, and maybe 15 "block off the bridge" movies. So far, only one failed "door," two failed "snake," no failed "dart," and maybe one failed "bridge" missions. No one died. I am dying to see what happens when any of these guys gets caught...

Yeah, I do play pretty aggressive...I go for more high-level targets. Guess I should tone it down a touch. Still, I've had lots of dart success and lots of snake successes...but never a door.
Oftentimes, if I have a target which I feel is out of reach for my agent (say 60% chance of success), I will choose another target or two for him at 80% or more. Then he often gets experience; and the target which was 60% is now 75% or higher.
Also, since I train up a lot of assassins, there is often someone else with more experience, nearby, whom I can rely on to get the job done.
It highly depends on wether there's an enemy spy in the settlement. I typically get lots of messages saying an agent has been found, but he escaped. Training a spy usually gives messages about their execution the next turn.
