HELP! I am sicily what do i do??

I am kinda stuck i have taken the 2 islands of the cost of italy but i don't seem to be making very much money even though they all have ports then i had to send a crusading army all the way down to jerusalem and sucessfully taken now its isolated and soon under attack from the egyptians the pope seems to like me a lot but is not doing anything nice.

You could expand down into North Africa against the Moors. You could take on some of the northern Italian states if they get excommunicated (which frequently happens). You could also take on the Byzantine Empire. And you should give the pope Jerusalem if you can't hold onto it as it will raise your standing immediately and probably allow the muslims to recapture the city so you can repeat the whole process again.

The Byzantines, they have to put up with incredibilly weak militia and Byzantine spearmen for the whole early game. Your Knights should easily beat them.

I would attack Moors. Down to the bottom of the map Timbuktu through Carthage (is that good name for MTWII???), there are few nice spots for merchants approx 600 and then go eastwards. Big distances but worth. On the north direct attack to Venice later - they get easy excomunicated so call the Crusade.

Take Tunis, Tripoli, and Durazzo. Keep Tunis a castle make Tripoli a City. The Egyptians wont send anything big at you in Afirca. Just deal with the Moors on your western border. Durazzo will be your launching point for your eastern expansion. I keep it a city for the cash. both island off the coast I convert to cities as well. Tunis and Palermo are all you need for Castles at this point. IF the Byz are at war with the turks you should be able to take Theleconessa(sp?) and the catle at the bottom of Greece (name right now??). Money will begin to flow like wine. If Rhodes is avail grab that too and make it a city.

Generally beside West Africa - all islands are worth to take. I like Rhodes - do not know why - maybe because in RTW there was miracle also it seems as good trade point. Cyprus with castle is good place to start crusades - additionally you could control the situation and see what is going on in Holy Land - not just send the Crusades like "blind in the forest", also I think Crete stays long as rebel but not sure here.
