So, are you still working on this mod?
Hello guys, Robbe had asked me to write a what if Alexander hadn't died so young. But I decided to write about The legendary clash between the formidable Roman maniples and the fearsome Macedonian phalanx under the command of the Eagle of Epirus
https://kmhistories.wordpress.com/20...raclea-battle/
how does one download this?
It's not yet available killeranthony if you are talking about the mod
Just read through this thread. It's really great to see such a talented team working on a fresh Alexander campaign. Everything posted so far looks brilliant, can't wait till the day this is out.
I also hope it will be possible eventually to play as a few of the other factions - not sure which mod it was but I remember a really fun Persia campaign in which Macedonia started with three experienced stacks in Asia Minor. Not the most historically accurate startpos, but it provided a nice challenge.
Under the patronage of the formidable and lovely Narf.
Proud patron of Derpy Hooves, Audacia, Lordsith, Frodo45127 and Sir Adrian.
How will the regions be divided in such a huge map? Also will there be province borders on mini-map? Last question- Will there be some scripted events?
Very excited for this mod, really can't wait! Can you release the Beta Version in this December?
I postponed this mod and I am currently working on a similar mod for BI
That's bad since I'm really a huge fan of this Mod. I always checked the site just to see the progress of it but both Mods you're making are great nonetheless. I'll play both of it when it came out.
It would be a dream come true for me to see Alexander and his Macedonian Armies march across Tarim Basin through Dzungaria into Mongolia to face the Xiongnu or eastward into China to face the Zhou dynasty. Both are fearful opponents for him to overcome.
Also, it'd be great idea to make a what if scenarios for Alexander and his armies to faces Rome, Carthage, Arabia, Scythian (Saka), Tocharian, Wusun, Xiongnu and Maurya India.
All of these opponents I listed above will prove troublesome threats to Alexander beside/better than the already fallen Achaemenid Persia which he destroyed.
Central Asia is a huge continent. There is a large area to make factions. Those I can think of that fit in are Arabia, Carthage, Rome, Scythia, Wusun, Tocharia, Xiongnu, Maurya India, Zhou dynasty and other Mediterranean factions.

Quod si non est ita quis me potest arguere esse mentitum et ponere ante Deum verba mea?
I'm continuing this mod!
However I will overhaul the units first and release. I will implement the map later, otherwise this mod will never get finished.
Great news!
What about the time frame. Will it begin at 356 BC or 323 BC?
For the first beta version, everything including the timeframe will be vanilla except the units + veggiemod will be included
Later I will take care of other aspects of the mod. I could do it all at once if I had unlimited time but nobody has so I have to work on this mod in small baby steps or it will never get released.
Then that would be 336 BC when he was 20 and became a king, that makes perfect sense. I should've figured this out long ago, lol.
What I like the most about this mod is the big unique map it has. Since, it's not the boring usual copy and paste like almost every other mods in Rome TW threads. You created this huge map as signature specifically for the mod and players without copy or modify it from the others. I really love and respect that. If those modders choose to put more efforts into it instead of copy and paste, they can created it as big as or even bigger than the ones in Falcom Total War and Eras Total Conquest mods, which btw really dope to play.
Anyway, while most modders in those threads choose to abandon their projects unfinished, you sir keep working on it alone by yourself that really show how much time you have devoted to the modding community and how great of a modder you sir really are. We would love to thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
I love the culture-coded faction symbols.

Hi everyone,
so I decided to release a little demo which lets you play the battle of Issus, it's intended to let you experience the new battle map environments, units, AI and combat balance system while we are still working on the campaign.
Preview:
Demo installation download mirrors: (Main download, install this first, before the patch)
ModDB
How to install:
Firstly, remove any previous installation of this mod if present, to remove it simply remove the A3 modfolder inside "...\Steam\steamapps\common\Rome Total War Alexander".
Next you need 7zip, it's free: 7-zip.org
Once you have installed 7zip, extract the A3 folder into your "[Location where steam is installed, usually program files]\Steam\steamapps\common\Rome Total War Alexander", it should look like this "...\Steam\steamapps\common\Rome Total War Alexander\A3\data"
If it asks you to overwrite anything, STOP IMMEDIATELY and check the integrity of your RTW Alexander installation!!
To run the mod simply run RTW Alexander using the command line switches: "-show_err -mod:A3"
In order to play vanilla again, simply remove the -mod:3A command line switch, if you want to uninstall the mod completely just remove the A3 modfolder.
Please report if you come across any bugs Thanks in advance!

Well done! That preview environment pic does look rather nice - I just did a scroll back to the title to check it was an RTW mod!
