    Default screen capture devices

    Hi I tried HyperCam to record some M2TW videos. Too bad the game became unplayable and lagged like hell. Do all other screen capture devices restrain your computer in the same way?

    PLz0RzZ! aNy1 present here? Maybe I'll just have to buy the new computer, I wont wait until AMD releases their new gen. processor (summer, spring?)

    Then I'm going to need a new screen, that supports 1600X1200? I won't be needing those dead pixels anymore, I have enough of them in my current screen. So far I have no idea what to buy... although I do have the money...

    Intel will probably cut the prices a bit on the dual/quad cores. Ill probably get the E6600 and if I manage too scrape some good ATI radeon card at a decent price, I'll get that one too. Too bad that usually all the (pretty much outdated) graphic cards are still pretty expensive here.
    I was thinking of X1950XTX but the new ones costs like 400 euros.
    Maybe its a bit too early to dish out the money for the 8800gtx, since some better cards might be released when the games start to support DirectX10.

    But in a way its also money wasted, since the first DX10 games are going to come this year, and maybe an X1950XTX might not fare so well in those games.

    Howdy =)
    Maybe it is a bit early for DX10, but don't get X1950XT, if it really is that expensive. You can get 8800GTS for a bit over 400€, and I think the price is going down fast. If you decide to get a DX9-card, something cheaper will do until it's time to upgrade to next gen.
    E6600 Is a good choice though.
    Don't know much about monitors, but if you really have that much money, there should be many options, just check out some tests/webstores.

    Yeah well I thought that I'd just hang in there atleast till later spring and play with some "mediocre" ATI card and an E6600. I read somewhere that Intel is about to do some serious price cuts on C2Ds early this year. Then if the new AMD processor truly ousts C2Ds and actually brings something new and instantly practical, I shall consider straight upgrading.

    Besides the exams week is going to keep me away from my computer for about 2 weeks. Its in the end of the month. Maybe i'll try M2TW at my dad's, he's got this gigantic flat telly and nice Hifi system. His comp is also a **** load better than mine. Sports betting you know...

    Its just stupid that the prices of these soon-to-be-obsolete Radeons are still sky high. I wouldn't mind upgrading soon, so I could take the maximum benefit from it. Its just hard to find them dirt cheap in Finland. Maybe I should buy it used or something?

    BTW I'm also known as Laurwin_Rommel at Peliplaneetta, just you know...
    Atleast I remember you

    Yea, of course I remember you :p

    Why not get a geForce? 7900GT or something? Afterall, this is "the way it's meant to be played"-game, if that really matters. Hehe.
