I think most of us have heard of Time Commanders 2: Second Manassas by Mad Minute Games. Well I've finaly aquired it and its a positivly amazing game. The Graphics are good, the terrain is great, and the Gameplay is amazing.
Its awesome because you can command Brigades, Divisions, Corps, or even the Army - moving around your suboridinate units and such.
It's increadibly realistic with Army movements and organisation and the AI is amazing. Its always a great sight seeing your entire Corps of 20,000 men snaking along a roadway as your marching to Strategic crossroads and things like that.
Did I mention the AI was amazing? I have never been more challenged in my life. I have sufferd 3 Major Defeats out of 4 large battles that I've fought.
One time the enemy decoyed me and as engaged most of my forces attacked me from the opposite direction! Wiped me out.
Another time I had 3 out of 4 Divisions Marching North because I thougt the enemy was west of me, and I was going to hit a road going west and with the other Division far to the South attack him from 2 sides. Boy was I suprised when I reached the Crossroads and found myself attacked by nearly his entire force!
After about 2 hours of intense Combat I had commited about all of my men and they were Exhausted and the enemy swtill had 2 uncommitted brigades. The battlefield was strewn with boddies and I'm sure the only reason why I wasn't destroyed outright was because I managed to mass a few batteries of Artillery to hold the enemy off.
Its the most amazing thing though its like what you read in Civil War books. All these things about Corps and Divisions - its all in the game.
It sucks though because I thought M2TW had made an improvment in their AI and then I started playing this game.
