Problem with: changing the accent
I want to convert the egypt faction to a mediteranian faction. I thought that I could go to the "descr_sounds_accents"
and put "egypt" on mediteranian but they continue saying stuff like: "my sultan"... I've also already changed the faction
to catholic...
what did I forget?

Re: Problem with: changing the accent
Did you change the culture in data/descr_sm_factions.txt?

Re: Problem with: changing the accent
You don't have to change the culture in descr_sm_factions.txt. After making changes to descr_sounds_accents.txt you need to go to data/sounds and delete events.dat and events.idx. Then simply start your mod and the files will get regenerated and the accents will sound correct ingame.

Re: Problem with: changing the accent
I'm having a problem with this. I've edited my descr_sounds_accents and deleted the events.dat and .idx files in data/sounds, however upon launching the game I have no sound, and the .dat and .idx files have regenerated to 2kb and 6kb respectively, as opposed to the 7,055kb and 17kb that the original files are. I've done a bit of searching and found similar issues with those files regenerating to that size, but no clear relation to what I'm doing. No new sound is being added by me currently. I'm simply changing, and adding new, a few factions' accents in that file. Any ideas? My mod is based off the Americas expansion campaign, for reference.

Re: Problem with: changing the accent
Sorry for double-posting. I did what I should have done in the first place and followed IZob's tutorial. Since I'm using a Kingdoms campaign I needed to do a bit extra modding to re-implement the "Mongolian" accent, but that was fairly straightforward as well once I looked at Aik's tutorial as well.
