    Default XGM For MTW2

    What about you guys creating some XGM conversion of mtw2, the mtw2 engine is so much better than the rtw engine!

    It has been thought on, but due to the fact that we can't edit models yet, we are concentrating on further developing this mod for RTW, basically, making it more historical and less Hollywood-ish

    Technically, it's not exactly the same engine, as the Rendering library has been significantly improved and optimized.
    But yeah, overall it's the same engine, but with major changes.

    Are there any new, hard-coded mechanics that could be useful?

    And how much more optimized is it?

    Well, despite having more complex meshes, higher res textures and more data, it runs as good as RTW and loads a little bit faster...

    Well, XGM for MTW2 would be quite unlikely, maybe an Extended Byzanthim Mod project would be more realistic...

    Zarax, I believe he meant a total conversion for M2TW. That means making new buildings and units... Basically, making a R2TW XGM

    Yes, that's why I said maybe for Byz as we don't have the resources for such a job...
    Maybe if Ortus Romani will be ready in reasonable time we could do a submod for that

    Good to hear your suggestions, i hope ill get rtw again soon so i can install the magnifique mod you have created!
    I understand if you dont got enough time and money for this one, i was just curious
