No matter what I do EB 2.3 keeps crashing

Justhave to say Eruopa Barbarorum is my favorite mod of all time. I played EB for years. Played EB2.3 for a week or so. At first there were some random crashes. Then the game started to crash with the fatal graphics error while loading battles. Found a solution after 2 days and lowered the graphics. It worked...until it didn't. It started to crash on end turn. And I just could not make it work. Tryed loading previous saves but nothing. I did everything it says in every thread I could find regarding CTDs. Nothing helped so I started clean. Reinstalled the mod and so on. I followed the install instructions (including instaling MTW2 outside. I followed the post install instructions. The game worked until the first battle. It crashed again and I'm pretty sure I have enough of trying and this is the last final try before quiting EB2.3 all together. Don't get me wrong. This mod is perfect. Everything is great and I love the whole roleplaying and history and battles and campaigning and politics ect. I love this mod. That is why I'm really frustrated and angry and sad. Help if you can.

I'm afraid there's nothing of note in that log, you need to change the logging method from "error" to "trace" in the EBII.cfg to generate more meaningful detail.

Lowering the graphics settings doesn't fix the fatal graphics error message, that's actually a memory problem.

I have the same story. In my situation I cured the "Loading battle crash" with the application of some research on memory issues. All crushes during battle loading has disappered. But the game is still cushes during AI turn..

Don't want to jinx myself but since this last advice regarding research on memory solutions, the game runs like clockworks...I've played about 10 turns and so far not a single crash. The battles run smooth and endturns are ok. So thank you and I hope people find this thread helpful. Will post if anything changes.

Can you share what you did exactly to solve the issue then? Having the same problem and not sure where to begin in trying to fix it

*psssst* there are ways to increase the amount of ram your med 2 can use... these prevent many crashes
