    Icon4 Relocating temp files

    Here's my situation.

A little while back I got a friend to create a second partition on my hd for two OS's - but the bonehead only put 2 gigs of data for the second partition. I would've intervened but this was back before I knew anything about how such things worked. So in an effort to solve all my space being eaten up by temp files I've relocated just about everything I can find to another drive (it was a learning process).

    Here's some pics to explain.

So I've changed all that, but when, for example, I start a patching program that won't let you choose where to unpack files I still get a message that I have too little space to do it, despite all this reshuffling of temp folders.

Reformatting etc isn't an option because I've got a load of stuff on the other partition, which would be a pain to backup.

I've probably missed something really simple, anyone have an answer?

I'm not sure if this is really the answer that you're looking for, but why can't you just install the other os on the second hard drive?
