And don`t forget about this part:
6.2 Music Pack, Still have vanilla music? See this then!
In your Data\Sounds folder change the events.idx and events.dat filename to oldevents.idx and oldevents.dat. That will do it.
Does this music mod work with the RTR Platinum 1.8 mod?

I downloaded this add-on and ran the installer onto my RTRPE v1.8, but in the middle of installing the music is says there was some sort of error and suggests a corrupt file. Is this a side effect of using RTRPE 1.8 or do I need to redownload the add-on?
EDIT: Never mind. After much stumbling and frustration, I've managed to answer my own questions...

AFAIK, you should be able to play RTRPE v1.8 with the music add-on without any problems. Only thing might be the combination with the mod switch version of RTRPE v1.8 that you probably use. You have the one posted by Maced0n here, right? You better ask him about this. But you might also try and dl the music add-on again to be sure your download was not corrupted somehow.
EDIT: id it proves somehow that there is a problem between the music mod and the mod switch version of RTRPE(wait for Maced0n to confirm or deny this) and you really want to have the rtr music, you can try to simple version of RTRPE v1.8. I think that it is posted at the rtr forums only atm.
It seems my computer didn't complete the first download, but did complete the second time I tried. It worked out well, though I can't say I'm particularly thrilled with the music.Leave it to me to spend a lot of time learning how to do something to then not do it.
On a related matter, though, is it possible to customize your own music into RTRPE? I remember once I saw member with a link to thread on how to do within his signature, but the link is dead...
