    Have to say, this is starting to look more and more like the RII Alpha state that probably never came out. It's what RII should have been.

    Couldn't agree more! CA has taken the lazy and profitable path and we could only expect even more downgrades in the future, if people still buy their betas. I wish I would be wrong...

    Well it's a mixed bag. I shall never forget the greatest trolling video in CA's history and I don't think I need to stress on that.

    What's great in this mod:

    * Custom Carthage map which just outranks the alpha 'Carthage' that was never given to us - you can see my screenshot of Carthage(which I took!) in the sig.
    * I believe there are Babylon and Jerusalem, custom maps as well!(It'll be much better to besiege a map like that. Visually.)
    * Family tree, nuff said.
    * Custom Carthago Nova map which is just awesome for strategic flanking
    * An epic upgraded map of Rome in the future!
    * Custom Greek/Roman cities map. And since UM may do more maps after the release, it's just a bonus, I'd ask him to create more diverse ambush maps! He's a great map maker.
    * Great buildings which give you a greater choice of variety
    * Beautifully crafted looking units.
    * Phalanxes.
    * Attila Roman soundtrack which is great for Eastern and Roman faction.
    * Great use of mechanics, UI, etc.
    * Love that the event pics have a lot of pictures rather than the same old stuff you got in RII.
    * Overall, it's just a deep bigger complex version of RII.
    * It's like watching EB, Roma Secrrutum, and RTW all combined and into a package that resembles a 3d version of what it would look like. You can easily tell its influences from the old total war mods.

    Although, I'm not sure whether faction intros or cinematic videos can be imported into the mod. It would be a plus if they could.

    Even without dilemmas, this just seems so deep and complex you can get immersed for hours on end.

    But if I do ask for submods, it'll be just for the fun of it

    My submod would be:

    All face masked Parthian Cataphracts
    Sassanid Immortals in Parthian Roster
    One tech research.(Can't stand the research every damn thing! I want my armies at full cost!)
    Replace Parthia with Sassanids.
    Fantasy rosters!
    Red Romans. I have to say, while I do enjoy the diversity of the Early Roman's shields, I preferred the deep Red colour the Roman Principes had!(It looks cool.)
    Sassanid Roster!

    That said I do enjoy RII, I do have 1340 hours on it. Just waiting for this damn mod to reelase!

    The only annoying thing is CA's thrones of Britannia, I am fairly confident that they'll get the mod released by the time it's release date is announced.

    Can they have a full 40 stack, or are they stuck with however many troops they have at the start, and if they lose an entire unit its gone for good until they're back to the original 20 cap?

    has the population/manpower mechanic been removed or just not implemented yet?

    At this point I would say it's kinda abandoned. We have no scripters left and the current framework causes crashes. So even the working scripts can't be used.

    Awesome, it looks like the perfect version of Rome 2 that I always wished for. Keep up the good work

    Btw, I have a little question. Can/will the battle icons be moded to look like old school TW flags? I really hate the Attila icons (I find it totally un-immersive).

    Does the same go for the supply mechanic?
    I suppose the answer is obviously yes if you have no scripters.

    Actually why is there no population/supply mod for Attila as there is for R2? Is it somehow more difficult or is it just that nobody cares? lol
