Perhaps the greatest turn for Clan of Forebears since the beginning of the hotseat!

Cloudrest, the capital of wicked Veiled Heritance, has been taken after a bloody siege, the best armies of Hammerfall stood alongside the ones from High Rock! Alinor, the capital of Summerset monarchy, is now unevitably going to fall...

In the same time, even a greater deed was accomplished by lord Thoda, Covenant General, eventhough his forces were severely outnumbered. As he planned, due to good logistics he was able to send part of his army, lead by Marbilah at-Gar, to attack from the rear of the huge Summerset host consisting of 4 mighty armies at Valkwasten, led by princess Ayrenn herself, her heir Hircine as well as many of the greatest altmer nobles. While the surprised altmer nobles were in a disarray, general Thoda landed the main redguard host consisting of 1 and half stacks and led it to an astounding victory, crushing the altmer armies one by one in a series of smaller battles! In the end of the day, after many altmer nobles were slained, princess Ayrenn and her heir Hircine barely managed to retreat inside Valkwasten with a few hundred elves, leaving on the field 6000 slained altmer soldiers (adding to the 2500 dead Veiled Heritance fanatics in Cloudrest)... .

Thoda could have easily ordered his bloodthirsty men to storm the walls, as the siege equipment has already arrived from the ships. However, there was enough death for one day and he also remembered the cause of the war. One last time, he send an envoy to to princess Ayrenn, to remind her of the Covenant's offer....

To the altmers of Summerset Isles (and all of Tamriel),
For too long have Summerset Isles, under the lead of Veiled Heritance, been allowed to terrorize, subjugate and enslave other races in their vicinity, while it is clear, that a similar fate would meet other races, if the altmers were given the opportunity. Such a dangerous and hostile power must not be allowed to remain unopposed in Tamriel. Daggerfall Covenant, being the strongest, most noble and peaceful realm in Tamriel takes it as its responsibility to stop this growing threat that plagues all of Tamriel, especially considering that our great high king Adrien Guimard-Cumberland has defeated the remmants of the imperials, and is now seated at the Ruby Throne, by some called Dragon Throne, in Imperial City, the seat of emperors of Tamriel.

Furthermore, considering the argonians helped the altmers win in Elsweyr, it is clear that Blackmarsh will not be their next target, and hence the only viable next target for the altmers to expand their supremacy, is the Covenant. However, the Covenant is neither foolish or cowardish, but it is wise and brave, and will not wait for the enemy to strike first, giving them a great advantage... Daggerfall Covenant declares war upon High Kingdom of Summerset Isles!

However, it is not our intention nor desire to fight the noble mer race, nor to destroy their great monuments. The Covenant knows the wisdom and noble blood still run amongst many of the altmers, but it is this madness of Veiled Heritance and Thalmor council, lead by High Kinlady Estre Errinorne, that plagues the altmer people. Estre Errinorne usurped the throne for herself through her marriage to Naemon, from the true heir to the crown, the noble princess Ayrenn, daugher of high king Hidelith. We therefore call the altmer nobility, and the royal house of princess Ayrenn, to stand up, and take back their lands from the usurpers, The Covenant will support such efforts. However, should the altmer nobility remain gutless and support the radicals in power, our swords shall meet theirs as well, and Summerset will be rebuilt without their incompetence and cowardice.

The noble war to save Tamriel has already begun, a strategic citadel of Firsthold, the greatest stronghold in Summerset Isles, fell to the joint forces of bretons from Glenumbra and Stormhaven, and will serve the Covenant greatly, in winning the war. Meanwhile, the redguards have also taken Anvil, rightfully belonging to our fief Cyrodiil, and will take the coast of Valenwood soon. Should the altmer nobility find courage and nobility in their blood, it is high time they rise up and join our cause, otherwise they will be no better than Veiled Heritance, and meet a similar fate.

Surrender now, help the Covenant cleanse Tamriel of the Veiled Heritance, the plague on the face of Tamriel... finally, after a thousand years, the line of altmers who once dominated the men and other races would be ended, and no such atrocity could ever occur again! Choose wisely, and you shall keep the reign in your holdings as a new queen of the altmers... Otherwise, the siege shall continue and Covenant itself shall bring a new order to altmer people (a High Isle perhaps? )...



All the Summerset armies in Valenwood were obliterated, and thus it is not just a matter of time, until Valenwood is liberated as well...

Nothing special happening with the bretons this turn... Camlorn, one of the major duchies of High Rock, was liberated, while the main chunk of breton forces joins the siege on Oldgate, to bring the treacherous false king Ranser to justice.... On Summerset Isles, the breton forces reconsolidate themselves, for the final approach on Alinor.... unless the altmer nobles finally find wisdom and surrender...

However, seems the killing spree countinues....

The combined forces of both main khajiit kingdoms, Anequina and Pelletine, managed to push armies of the Veiled Heritance back south, as far as Tenmar city, therefore all of Anequina was safe again. Recently, the Pelletines were also able to retake some of their former holdings, such as Darvulk and old Pelletine capital Senchal. The price was high, many khajiits died, many holy temples were sacked by the ungodly Heritance... for a time, even the fate of Elsweyr was on the edge of a knife... therefore, the recent victories were a formidable accomplishment, as the khajiits were suddenly very close to winning the war and retaking alll of Elsweyr, including the Mane's holy city Torval, as the reign of the almers back in Summerset Isles was crumbling.... However, the khajiits were not able to rejoice for very long... as the scouts brought terrible news... Over 10 000 argonian lizards, veterans of Morrowind war, are on approach to Elsweyr...



Those armies could mean only one thing... a doom to all of Elsweyr... All the khajiit lives that were lost would have been for nothing...

Crushed by this news, Aran bi Pelletine M'Dirr-ri, the greatest commander of Elsweyr, who has won many great victories against the altmer and argonian hordes, struggled to find a hope. There seemed nothing that could be done, to save the khajiits. However, suddenly a little fire of hope flickered, when the scouts from Tenmar lands reported, that the altmer forces were in a disarray, large part of their forces separated from others. No khajiit army could stand against the spells of the elite Thalmor Justicars legion, when they stood together... But if they were separated, it could be possible to defeat them... Nonethless, even if he managed to defeat the separated altmer force, there would be almost no hope for his forces to survive, once the other parts of altmer armies arrive... But still, the armies of Veiled Heritance would be severely depleted... perhaps that would be enough for Anequina forces to defeat them once they arrive, and retake Torval...



This was the last chance ever, to retake Pelletine lands, and most importantly the holy city of Torval... the argonians would arrrive soon, and then it would be too late... Contemplating about the opportunity, Aran M'Dirr-ri realised he must honour his duty to the khajiit people and the Mane... one last time. He made peace with himself, gathered his bravest warriors and the little that was left of Pelletine clans chieftains, and embarked the ships, to get to Tenmar as fast as possible.... he also sent fast messengers to Darvulk, to join in with their garrison.

The battle was successful.... almost half of the Heritance troops in Elsweyr, about 3500 elves, were anihilated... However, before the Pelletine troops could continue to liberate Torval, the main part of Heritance troops came in their way, and forced the Pelletine troops to retreat inside Tenmar settlement.... Tthe Heritance troops surrounded the city, preparing to storm the walls...

But Aran bi Pelletine M'Dirr-ri didnt think of the inevitable upcoming death... He though of the the walls of Torval, that he could see from distance, before the Heritance armies pushed them back... It was the city where the Mane crowned him the ruler of the Pelletine, many years ago... for a long time after that, after the holy city was lost, he thought he would be the last Pelletine king... but now he believed, that some day soon, a new Pelletine king would be crowned in Torval as well, due to to this successful battle....

Proud of his soldiers, Aran was preparing to ride into the battle with them again, one last time...


(seems you guys are super unlucky this turn ... both main groups of altmer armies were (partially) defeated because of an army in ambush position.... cca 12 000 dead altmers in one turn)
