Sea tile: Its being addressed because you brought it up earlier. "He was able to defeat me due to his plan with using a coastal sea tile in Woodheart, to be able to reach my navy, while I wasnt able to reach his (hence in my testing it looked safe). Hence the crushing naval defeat." I'm addressing it now so that you can't have gripes about it later. And it relates to my previous response. Had you tested more, you might have found it prior to your defeat, etc.
True that soldiers would run out of food, but if it is the intent of the enemy to keep them as prisoners of war (not officially, but loosely) they could supply them food.
Where would they get that money you ask? Well, the money that your faction sends to upkeep them is rather the money demanded by the jailors at sea to not slay your soldiers.
And in 'repayment' the blockade fleet sends your men food and keeps them stuck there.
And to go further, you could say that your men overpower them ten fold or something. Why would your men risk sinking into the depths, when all the enemy fleet has to do is threaten to burn their ships and leave them for dead?
I mean, they do have many more ships than your fleet at this point, so claiming the to do the same to them isn't really viable.
Furthermore, no cold blooded faction would simply allow their most 'elite' army to be sunk into the sea without a second thought. Power vacuum along with morality check.
So, logically it makes less and less sense the longer we do this and it won't change the decision I've made.
Again I will say that if everyone would like to add a new rule preventing this for the future, then please continue to vote.
As this wasn't a current rule break by Mergor I won't punish him. It may be against the spirit of hotseating in a way, but I suppose
you could vote him Devious Commander for this provided voting is still open.
Anyways, Jadli revert the move and play on.
Thank you.
