This isn't really the bug report but I just wanted to inquire about something that's a bit odd during the installation of version 2.3

After installing EB 2.3 in MTW2 folder, the new 'saves' folder gets generated in Desktop (i.e. where EB launcher for steam and non-steam version are) but it doesn't seem like it's necessary for EB.
Whenever I save the game in EB campaign, (where autosave is disabled), the save file gets saved in mods/ebii/saves folder not in Desktop/saves, so is this folder necessary for EB? if not, is it okay if I just delete it from the Desktop?
