There're some discrepancies between what I see in my game and the "player guide 2.3.pdf".

    • I refused to pay tribute to the Mauryan empire, then i beat two Mauryan armies. But for now more than twenty turns (probably much more) no Mauryan army arrived.
    • There's no Mauryan Urban Government, but a Mauryan Urban Center instead. Its symbol is a blue wheel.
    • The Semi Autonomous Viceroyalty have the symbol of the Mauryan Urban Government, a white elephant.
    • In India I could build the Mauryan Urban Center in some cities, but it isn't listed in any Indian city's Building Browser. I've no government type listed for large towns.

I now have 9 cities and I just conquered Baktria.

    - We'll look at the independence requirements, but the fact you can build the Mauryan Urban Center means you ARE independent.
    - The correct name is Mauryan Urban Center
    - Definitely two icon problems - they should look like the ones in the guide. Bug! Thanks for reporting.
    - Building browser "problems" are common. The browser can't account for certain pre-reqs, so any affected buildings just won't appear. They are still buildable if you meet the requirements (i.e. you will see them in the city construction screen)
    - The browser will show the minimum settlement size necessary to build a particular structure. So if you have a large_town and see a gov type listed as buildable in a "town", that's OK - it doesn't mean it should ONLY be built in a town. Working as designed.

    Thank you for your answer.

I mean that there's no large_town government type listed, and no large_town, but I can somehow build that Mauryan Urban Center, even if it isn't listed.

There is no such thing as a government intended for just ONE specific settlement level. Anything you can build at "town", can be built at large town, city, large city, and huge city. The browser shows the level at which it is first available.
