Farnan, in my personal opinion, having military experience does not mean you'll be a good politician. In other words, a good soldier won't necessarily be a good president. Just my two cents.

Anyways, I'm personally a Republican, but I'll most likely be voting for a democratic candidate come 2008.

From the list above, I'd probably vote for Obama or Edwards. We have quite a while to wait and see however, as to who will be running for president and who will actually make it on the ballot.

    P.S. Hillary Clinton scares me.

Yes but he will not think of soldiers as cannon fodder (which isn't part of U.S. modern warfare mindset anyways) He does have adequate political experience imho.

Very true, although having a military background is certainly a factor in winning a presidential election, at least, historically...

Out of those choices, I picked Guiliani, for various reasons.

What you want then is Generals....but even a General is not guaranteed to be a good politician.

I'd say a medium rank officer is probably the ideal for mixing military and politics. They know what its like to be one of the troops they are sending into combat and still know how to deal with the Military command and beaurocracy. Ooops who fills that role

As most of my knowledge of american politics comes from The Daily Show its a little limited but I would like to see Hillary Clinton in the White House (but behind the desk this time). This is because:
    A) She's a woman, and America shouldn't fall behind the times in equality (and France might beat them)
    B) She looks as tough as old boots
    C) She probably knows her way around the Oval Office so moving in time will be reduced, meaning more time to get stuff done.
    d) Cigar manufacturers could make 'Billy-bob Specials' -The Cigar madam President doesn't want you smoking!
    e) erm... I'm done.

Who cares if she's a woman? That shouldn't be a factor at all.

It would be helpful to some posters if you posted a few of the stances of the candidates, though. But right now, I say none of them.

Hillary Clinton doesn't know ****. Bill was pretty good I guess, but Hillary? Let's see, as a senator she's ... tried to ban video games, tried to ... ban ... video ... games ... and ... she's tried to ... ban ... something else? What was it? What was that again? Oh yes. Videogames.

This is definitely a ho we want in the Presidency. Her first speech as president:

"The real war in Iraq doesn't matter - we should be worried about the fake wars played over that series of tubes or those Ybox 248372s which are perverting the youth of America. You know what? Let's forget piddly things like diplomacy too, what matters are those damn video games with their pornographicalogical content and violence. Hell, know what? Let's not worry about that large, massive ... hard ... debt. That's the Republicans' fault! Let's waste money trying to ban this insidious plot to turn the youth into violent murderers who like to shoot things and go on rampages like Columbine which had **** all to do with videogames but we'll blame **** on them anyway."

Bill Clinton is just using Hillary to get another term in office. Haven't you seen how he's always in the background everywhere Hillary is?

Additionally, you think video games will be a major factor for not voting for Hillary ClinTON? Young people (who actually CAN vote) don't vote, only middle-aged to older people vote. That's why all the political campaigns appeal to, yeah that's right, OLDER people.

Maybe Hillary becoming president and banning video games will be the thing that will finally get young people involved in politics and voting here in U.S. lol
