Default You would think Iraqi’s would be more grateful

You'd think the Iraqi's wouldnt mind us being there... I'm mean Christ almighty... If you read the Quran you will find this.

"For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle.
The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo,
while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced: for
the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah and there was
    peace."
    Verse: 9.11 of the Quran.

Now don't everyone thank me at once yeah, but come on it has to be talking about US lead force in Iraq. Sorry I don't mean to mix politics with religion but that verse has to be more the coincidence.

    Yes.

Im sure i would be overjoyed at the prospect of a foreign nations forces conquering my country. and then occupying it.

Yes, i would think it fantastic. in fact, as im sure everyone here would,
if they were invaded and occupied by a foreign nation.
I would lay down flowers to the invading foreign army.

Wheres the gratitude from the Iraqis eh?

I mean, we invaded and occupied their lands, Let loose a civil war.
Let looters plunder the streets, disbanded Saddams armies, and sent them onto the streets fully armed, trained and without a job. We helped the leader of the Kurdish Movement into the presidential position. and the Shiite majority take control of the government. Oh and did i mention occupation?

    Wheres the Gratitude indeed
Who on earth wouldn't be grateful for all that we've done.

    Oh and the eagle.
It must mean The US. Its not like anyone else uses or has used the Eagle.
Or that eagles exist anywhere else.

Amen to that. Might be the only intelligent Koranic verse out there.

You've actually read the Quran. No? Then don't speak on it.

I agree 100%. The comment was extremely ignorant. That attitude is one of many reasons why so many Middle Easterners have an immense dislike for Americans.

This is a HOAX, and an old one too.
The verse isn't real. (or at least it didn't come from the Koran or any other holy boom ,it was written during/after the Iraq war)

Yes you'd think the Iraqis would be more grateful for getting out of a mess we put them in. We've spoiled them rotten.

I love fake Koran verses that people always paste a "support our troops" message on.
    And those Iraqis!
They should be grateful we plunged their country into chaos and what looks like coming civil war once the US leaves!

What of Nazi Germany using the Eagle? The Roman Empire is another example, does that verse mean that the Eagles of Rome would clense the land of Allah... I think not mate, it seems like a load of rubbish... I doubt that would be in a proper version of the Koran..

If it's a hoax then we should close this, we don’t need another Iraq war right/wrong thread.

I know that this is off topic, but since this thread is going to be closed soon anyways, I have a short question: why do you, Freddie, always type your messages centred to the middle of the page? Its kind of funny, I thought "centred" is something used only for title pages, personally I think it makes your posts a little more awkward to read.

Yeah, why aren't they grateful for over 2 million dead and counting?
Why aren't they grateful for 12 years of bombing infrastructure and sanctions?
Why aren't they grateful for u.s., israeli and british commandos disguising themselves as arabs, then killing shias and sunnis to increase the pre-planned balkanization of their country.
Why aren't they grateful for their families getting raped murdered and their houses torched?

Settle down, he is, what seems to be, another ignorant patriotic american.

By realizing the truth's, he loses security so, he chooses to shield himself with lies to prevent the sadness that comes with realization.

But, is it his fault for taking up that shield? Or, is it the man who gives him the shield in the first place's fault?

Normally yes, my brother Atterdag, but realize that Saddam rose to power during a period where the Arabs were throwing out and revolting against foreign intervention.

    And so?
If a ruler governs well for 15 years and then very badly for another 15 after that, I think the populance will remember the ruler for the 15 years of bad governing.
