The french army has prepared its diplomat move of march and the crusading army starts on its way, hoping for shipping to catchup with at a appropriate time in the future, little happens in the provinces of france, far removed from the devesrtation of the crusading armies of both sides.

Poland - 1127 AD

It has been at least 2 years since the peace treaty between Poland and its old enemies had been signed. A direct result of this treaty had been that the kingdom of Denmark had been made independent. Both Scotland and England, as well as Poland, had made multiple exchanges of settlements with the Danes.

It was also agreed upon that the Christians would set aside their differences and unite under the banner of God. In the past few years, we have seen multiple foreign armies marching through Polish territory in order to partake in the ongoing crusade. Meanwhile, Poland has been preparing its own armies to aid its Hungarian, German and English allies as well.

However, this took some time. Poland had just lost a war; it needed time to rebuild its nation and its armies. This included the retaking of some of its territories. Poland had asked the Scottish to sell the castle of Stettin, now the only Scottish holding remaining in Eastern Europe. It did not make much sense for the Scots to hold onto this settlement. However, to this day the Scottish have refused to give up the settlement. Even after Poland released the Kingdom of Denmark and promised to join the crusades. Exactly as the Scottish originally had asked.

It got even worse… In the most recent letter, send to the Scottish, Duke Zbigniew of Poland had offered to buy back the settlement once again. The Scottish refused. Again. Saying they are not convinced of Poland’s intentions. In fact, they not only refused but also said they would sell it to Denmark instead.

The sad conclusion we can draw from this is that Scotland never intended to sell the castle back to Poland. It does not care about a strong united Christian world. It wants to see Poland small and weak. This of course crossed the line.

In response to this, Duke Zbigniew of Poland has ordered his diplomats to bribe Scottish troops and remove them from polish territories. This included the illegally occupied castle of Stettin. Polish banners now fly once again over the castle walls of Stettin.

So what now? Obviously, there are some issues, yet I think many of the Christian courts in Europe can agree that it is not worth escalating this conflict while we have a holy war to win. Poland hopes to settle the issues diplomatically and is already moving its armies towards the holy land.
However, just in case, Poland has let its allies know that a defensive polish war might be looming.
