News of Despotate of Morea switching sides and joining Seljucks reached Genoa's crusading army lead by Consul Giacomo. So far Consul's goal was to reclaim Jerusalem for Christianity, but he couldn't just leave Morea behind. They must know that if they will raise their hand with a sword against Christianity, they will have that hand cut off! Consul deployed small amount of troops and ships to take Morea's city of Smyrna while he took his main forces and sailed for Corinth. Morea's leader clearly was unprepared for so quick acction of Genoa's forces and his army couldn't return in time to defend its capital. The city was easly overrun with crushing numerical advantage, Morea leader was stricked down and repleaced by Genoa's puppet ruler. After than Consul Giacomo marched his forces to confront Morea's main army. Morale of Morea's army was non existing. Their land was already overrun by Genoa army, theri king was dead and they were about to fight brothers in feith for the infidels which they obviously never wanted. Consul offered them switching sides and return on Christianity side, on to Genoa side. They were offered that their lands won't be sacked, their family won't be killed and they won't die themselfs in upcoming battle with Consul's army. They will be also well paid for fighting for the Genoa. They just have to swear allegiance to new Morea pupper king. General of Morea's army wasted no time in accepting that offer and had no problems what so ever to convince his soldiers to follow him. Deus Vult!

I did not take Corinth after all. Since I could destroy Morea I could also made it my vassal state. I have chossen that second option. I fought also couple of small neval fights I did not take pictures from.

Btw who would have thought that at some point of that HS Bizantium will become vasal of Genoa

Emissaries from the Seljuk Sultan returned to Novgorod once again, now threatening. A large Turkish fleet with a vast army lay anchored near the Crimean coast to give the Sultan some advantage in the negotiations, or so he had thought. The Knyaz was a proud and stubborn man and the threat only aggravated the man, not subdued him. The Turkish diplomats were decisively denied and thrown out of the palace. There would be no peace.
