The king of France looked at his waistline , and didnt like what he saw, as years of eating over rich flood , laced with butter , had done its evil work of expanding his form. In lue of the french kings waistline , he began to undertake a more spartan lifestyle and even took upon starting up a more martial fitness fighting practices hoping to regain the fitness of his youth. The people in the royal palace encouraged such things, and increased more tournaments within france hoping to regain some look of the glory age of france, as people began to see and celebrate the increased tournaments and melee combats with the feasts and celebrations that followed them.

Poland - 1123 AD

A ceasefire was signed, bringing peace to the people of Poland.

However, war has damaged the lands of Poland and Silesia for a long time. Many peasants have lost their homes due to foreign invasions or increasing taxations from the Polish crown. This is leading to an increase in unrest in the Polish countryside. Some have even taken up arms against the Polish crown and seized minor forts.

High Duke Zbigniew has sent most of his levies back to the farmlands, while he seeks to maintain the unity under the Polish crown. To achieve this High Duke Zbigniew gave control over the Duchy of Silesia to his first-born son Duke Janus. While he kept in control over the rest of Poland.

(Could my neighbors please PM me what their relations with Poland are, would help me out a lot)

The few scouts that survived the onslaught of assassins that were the mischievous Muslim Turks managed to reach the Hungarian Capitol within a week of hard riding.
A group of 4 survived of the 12 that had left that blood soaked battlefields of Sofia, and just East of it.
Istvan Arapad was enjoying his time in the capitol. He'd been left to care for it by his father's order, and his uncle's as well.
This Marton of Vas though... Something would need to be done, as he'd surely claim his spot at home for his own.
But such plotting would die in the cradle, as he received news that both Marton, and his would be adoptee were killed in a great battle. The crusading forces were crushed by the Sultan of the Turks.
Seems Azzony has fallen, as well as Sofia. Damn. I wonder if brother Lazlo survived...
Few reports were on his brother. Some said he died in battle, others said he turned traitor. And yet more still said he fled south before the battle started.
A revelation stunned Istvan for a moment. If the information he'd received was true, then that meant... "I'm now the king!" He cackled evilly to himself and his attendants.
"Finally, its my time to rule, and I no longer have to suffer with these upstarts, and adopted wannabees."
"And what about the Turkish armies my King?" A scout inquired. "We will show them how tolerant the wilderness of our home can be. They won't last a winter in our snows, nor
be able to scale the face of our mountains, nor the walls of our great City. Let them come, and see if they can stand alone against the whole of Christendom!"
Everyone knelt, clapping, and cheering in the name of their new king.
