King Roger was uneasy reading the latest message from the Holy Lands. His first hand in Antioch secured an uneasy peace with the Turks for a long time and while Roger was busy in Italy Antioch and all of its forces were just standing and watching as the Turks slowly took over the rest of the Holy Lands. The peace was benefitial in short terms, but that terms seem to end now. A message came from their Sultan saying that the peace is over and our people is not welcomed anymore.
When Roger failed his plans in Italy and paid for the war crimes he commited, he also declared he will go on the Crusade, His Holiness called for! However not long after he sat sails with whatever forces he could get the European lords and kings started another fight between themselves, leaving the Holy lands and the Crusade slowly fade away. Roger hoped Jerusalem holds out for a little bit longer, but that wasn't what happened. Only Sicily still has lands in the Holy Lands, but the Turks are now marching towards it to reclaim those aswell. With the Sultans last message Roger decided now that being close to Crete, as his first act for the Crusade he will retake the Island and establish his first foothold on towards the Holy Lands. Despite our sins and fails in front of God, we ask for redemption, so that we can pay for our sin by participating in this holy path. May God give us the forgiveness and the strength, endurance to me and to all of the Sicilian troops - he prayed.
Iraklion with the help of his spies easily fall before him and Crete was in christian hand again, however troops in the Holy lands enmass regroupped and started preparing for the oncoming onslaught.

Jerusalem had fallen , and the shockwave hit the people of france , with outrage , with the catholic faith being the premier religion of the area, donations to the church expanded , as calls came to the king , that something should be done, and such views , the french king passed onto the Pope. But in his heart, he knew nothing would be done , The anglo-norman strength was bent on another conflict within Europe , and that conflict , would probably escalate as other states took advantage of the conflict, to settle old scores, or to expand their own lands.



Louie , King of France , sighed at the signs of futher conflict within Europe knowing , that in this phoney war time , nobody would volunteer troops to regain the holyland , and if war was sparked and started that there would be next to no chance of a experdation. The premier power in Europe in this time , was at the hands , of the English , and they had no real willingness to do so, which was strange , considering that the norman leadership in that state, where overwhelmingly Catholic , so what had happened to their faith , and their submission to the Pope?

The HRE is still mounting up defensive positions on the English border near Dijon in hopes that if an English invasion should occur in the future that they can hold the line against these warmongers.

The loss off Jerusalem is a terrible blow to the Christians and we beg for the Poles, Danes, Scottish, Genoese and British to look past their differences and take up arms against the common enemy.
The HRE crusading army is soon up and running and will make due haste towards the middle east.

Pope Up.

- The Fatimid Caliphate have decided to side with their muslim neighbours as their offer was most welcoming to the Caliph. No Christian nation made a real offer, that is why this decision was made.
- The Byzantine Empire has been turned to an admin faction and renamed to "Despotate of the Morea" due to the player disappearing and because their faction was weak. Due to RP reasons, their debt was annulled and their militia army was swapped to a halfstack of moderate-high units. Diplomacy is opened with them through me, but they "lost all their claims" to their previous settlements, thus their stance becomes neutral with all factions.

Dark clouds are gathering over Rome once more. Pope Bernardius residing over Throne of Saint Peter again, was shocked after receiving the letter from King Baldwin. The Holy City of Jerusalem has fallen into muslim hands


before the Pope could arrive. Many prayers have been spoken for the sacrifice people have made, for the lifes lost and for forgiveness. The most important question that has been asked at the assembly between the Pope


and his advisors and generals is "How could this happen?". The Church has put great effort in moving the european monarchs to act upon and aid in the Crusade against the turkish hordes. Even the Pope himself was on his way


to Jerusalem including his papal guard and great army until receiving said letter. While the Kingdom of Sicily, the Kingdom of Hungary and the Kingdom of France have made great efforts in fending off the heretics, other Kingdoms


were busy inwards, selfishly dealing with other troubles.... or causing them. The polish King has tried to push their claims upon the Danish and seem contempt with not contributing in the crusade, as an turkish or now


Saracen invasion would have little effect on them. However, there is a different story to tell in western Europe. Over the last decades, the english Kings have made their geopolitical position apparent, stirring up great fear.


After their invasion of the Kingdom of France, killing and displacing many catholics with it, they once more push for more fabricated claims further south. The overly aggressive and peace threatening country which is now


stretching beyond the english channel and far beyond the english isles, their home, seems to be on course with conflict against minor powers like the remainings of the france and Genoa. God knows what the situation would


be like if it wasn't for the pious Holy Roman Emperor and Defender of the Catholic Faith. How could any of them contribute to the Crusade when the english shadow readily awaits for an opportunity to push for their claims


and launch another invasion like in the past? Will the City of Marseille be enough for the english people to accept being peacebreaking invaders again? The question for a unified, god-fearing and peaceful western Europe must


be answered by a clear hegemonic power. The Pope therefore respectfully and sanctimoniously demands for french core provinces like Dijon, Tours, Paris and Angers to be returned to the Kingdom of France and the province of Reihns


to be given to the Holy Roman Empire. Defying this demand would have grievous consequences for the english, who should remember their place to be beneath god and nowhere else. The English Kingdom has been one of the only Kingdoms


not only contributing to the crusade but also not paying the newly added church tax and is responsable for countless of criminal acts against Catholic brethren.
