Best Air Cooler

In terms of performance what cooler do you guys recommend for my Conroe, I have a SilverStone TJ 109 Case (huge) so size isnt much of an issue. I am just wondering what would be the best cooling solution.

Zalman 9700
Scythe Infinity
Scythe Ninja
ThermalTake Big Typhoon

The reason I havent said stuff like artic coolers is because they are not reallly supercoolers they are better than stock but I really want the BEST cooling solution in that sort of price range.

I personally am hedging my bets on the top two but if anyone can tell me a better cooler Id be greatful.

If you want peace and quite got with the Zalman if you want out right performance go with Tuniq Tower 120.

I totally agree with Freddie, and as usual, he's right on the money. I have a Tuniq Tower 120 and it's absolutely awesome. I live in a sub tropical climate and it keeps my OCed CPU at 40-42c under heavy load, 30-35c idle, but it definately isn't the quietest cooler around either. It's also very large and very heavy so if you plan on moving your system alot I wouldn't recommend it. If possibly mobile get the Zalman CNPS 9700....

once its built I wont be moving it much - the case is too heavy to be moved - with everything in its at least 55lbs so not exactly mobile, so tuniq tower it is

Just to check it will fit in the SilverStone TJ109 case (fairly large):

Dimentions of the case are:

210mm Wide
525mm High
605mm deep

The Tower is 108mm tall so it'll definately fit, great choice Ed. When your finished, your new system will be one of the best on the forums.....

have you got any other suggestions on making my case a bit cooler (I only have the two stock fans in there at the moment) - I was wondering if adding 3 more fans (2 at the top 1 at the side) would help at all and if you have any other things that I should do (8800's chuck out a remarkable amount of heat I have heard - bearing in mind I am getting one shortly (aka. r600 release) do you guys have any suggestiosn for small/inexpensive additions that I could do to my rig

got the tower BUT; looks like its going to be a temporary one - Im going to move my Phase Change rig in and have that cooling the CPU soon . Ill probably use it in the build I have to do for my parents a bit later
