I thought that sakas Sarmatians and parthian horse archers didn't have bow and lance cause of engine failure but then I saw nabatean horse archers and say why not;;;

IIRC Nabateans have spears, not lances. There's a significant difference. Lances are usually useless past charge, spears are not. There are other cavalry units with ranged+spear combination.

I understand now but I guess from not having nothing it's better the spear !!!it's a bit weird the cataphracts to charge with bows

Are you talking about the Parthian bodyguards? I don't think they're supposed to be cataphracts, just heavily-armoured horse archers. And they're still armed with maces.

In the area(where Saka Rauka start), those are recruitable as mercenaries. They got that set bow/spear(and have a shield as well). But they're not enough available like those cheap factional horse archers.

I was very saddened the Scythian Riders lost their spears but after seeing those Nabateans made me conquer much further east than intended. I love a bow/spear/lance combo
