Win 10 issues with Steam version

I had this working flawlessly on Win 8.1. Decided to play again for the Viking Invasion campaign but now as I am now running Win10 I'm getting consistant ctd s . No fix so far is working. I've got a XP system I can use to play the disc version , but that defeats the reason for having a Steam version. Just wondering if anyone else is having or had this problem?

Eidt: I've had a Windows update and having played a session with no problems it seems so far to have fixed the issues I was having.
