Default Bush voted worlds greatest villian...

...and greatest hero. In an AP poll George W. Bush was voted the worlds greatest villian, and the world's greatest hero. He was also voted the most influential politician of the baby boomer generation by Newsweek editorial staff.

Now what does this say about this man? Like Caesar, Alexander, Napoleon, John Brown, Andrew Jackson, Abraham Lincoln and many people from history he will be a controversial figure throughout history, people arguing whether he was a hero or a villian. It also indicates the fact that he seems to be the leader you love or you hate with little in between....

    Newsweek December edition
“The nation that will insist upon drawing a broad line of demarcation between the fighting man and the thinking man is liable to find its fighting done by fools and its thinking by cowards.”

As a teenager, I was taken to various houses and flats above takeaways in the north of England, to be beaten, tortured and raped over 100 times. I was called a “white slag” and “white ****” as they beat me.

    Against what curreny?

The Euro? On Jan 1 04 one dollar was worth .7950 Euros, on 12/31/06 it was woth .7580. That is not quite a drop of 50%, if you care to do the math.:hmmm:

Over the same period the dollar has gain around 10% versus the yen.

Versus the chinese yuan it is down about 5.7%. Again that is a little short of your 50% projection.

Please do not come here and post outrageous fictions on these boards. You will get crushed.

To be fair to Bush he has done well to keep the Dollar where it is, the Dollar has been over priced for a long time.

Well done Mr Bush, for me you will go down as one of histories greatest characters, you’re rough edges which everyone draws humour from makes you human like the rest of us.

It says you live in a country were people can elect who they want, the fact that he has been elected twice is a great accomplishment and I don’t think you appreciative how well off you are to live in a country like America. . I don’t agree with Bush on everything for example I wish he would take a tougher stance on global warming, but I don like his social policies which we in Europe could learn a lot form given the decay in moral fabric over the last 40 years.

    Hero as in... Nothing.

Killer as in destroying the US economy and killing thousands upon thousands of innocents and thousands of American troops.

Realize the average American is a sheep when it comes to Politics (mainly George Bush). If it's a popular thing to dislike George Bush, then they say "I hate Bush". Simple as that.

But still, it'll be nice when he's out of office. He honestly wasn't a very good leader, even though he's had one of the toughest presidencies so far...

I just think hes an incompetent nincompoop who embaresses the nation everytime he opens his mouth. Villain? nah...thats his cabal of neocons that make all the decisions for him and push him out on stage to perform like a castrated poodle when the people start to demand answers.

edit: hey, I been hating george bush since before it became fashionable. I wanted Gore to win for chrissakes...

^^Oh I know. But I'm talking about the people who otherwise don't even know who our Vice President is...

I'm totally fine if you hate Bush because I don't like him either.

This is just a result of conspiracy theory thinking, instead of realizing that Bush is a incoherent clown people instead equate him with all the things in their lives they see as wrong or backwards. Its the same reason why a lot of people hate America, a lot of the time for little or no reason. They think America is the epicenter of all things gone wrong with the world, their country and their life.

Same thing with Bush now. But I tell ya, hes not an evil genius, hes a C average student who finds himself in the enviable position of leader of the country. Its like some B list comedy where they plug in an old comedian into the political comedy movie. formula...chris rock, robin williams, etc....only everything they say is meant to be a stitch, but everything Bush says is not meant to be funny although it often comes out that way.

Bill Maher says "******* it, I'm Swiss".

Don't let him fool you. He may wear crisp looking suits and has his little combover, ( ) but he has truly been responsible for some atrocities. Inside and outside the country.

Yep, hurricane katrina sealed the deal for all the unbelievers out there. His lackadaisical attitude about the suffering and destruction of one of our oldest cities was digusting to the point where even people previously loyal to the Bush regime started to question his leadership. (remember the "Heck of a job, Brownie" thing? Ohhh...that was the nail in the coffin, the straw on the camels back...)

To say that Bush was a villian implies that he had at least some intelligence. He dosent (his IQ is 92), every time he opens his mouth he embarrasses himsefl ("Humans and fish can co-exist peacefully") and the rest of the USA, unfortunetly. The quicker this man is ousted, the better, for both the USA and the rest of the world.

I'm Swiss was the attitude of many americans during the middle and later years of the Bush presidency.

edit: Goddam, i miss Bill Clinton. When asked if he would ever try to smoke pot again, Bill Clinton replied "I would try it if I could do it right, I would inhale".

    Now thats a leader.

Well comparing conquerers with a leader of a democratic nation isn't exactly a valid comparison Ill give you that but why such high esteem for Julius and Alexander? Their actions if held to today's standard would put them more on the level of Stalin then that of an elected leader of a liberal democratic state. Comparing figures from vastly different eras is always counterproductive but I fail to see how Bush is a 'crumb' compared to them...both who died well before the true measure of how their rule (after they finished with their conquering/seizing of power) would gone was decided.
