Why it resets after every load or battle, even though it is set to lock?

Would be nice if it stayed on, I really like the little names floating over armies and such

Probably a bug.

In my DE playthrough, the minimap on the campaign map is always hidden at the start of each turn, even though I never closed it.

Maybe it's somewhere 8n the campaign setting?

There a new additional settings now under game setting like always on guard mode and skirmish mode which can be set before starting a campaign.

Maybe can check under settings to make the option always on?
