Adding existing factions on map to the playable ones WH2

Hello,

I was wondering if somebody could help me with adding playable factions to my campaign, I am an old Total war fan playing since shogun, but I am new to the modding . I have aquired all usefull programs like PFM and ESF and I would like to edit startpos.esf to add playable factions. I have used multiple solutions found on these forums but with no luck. Every time I use PFM to save changes to startpos.esf it pops Systemnullexception error. Would be there any kind soul who could enlighten me as to how to force PFM to edit startpos.esf. On the side note PFM works great with editing raw packs and I have already made couple modifications for WH2, but I would love to claim the power of editing startpos.esf

I found the CA worshop tools best for adding factions. With a bit of help from numerous tutorials u can google (the proccess i pretty similar from Rome2)

Might have to wait till those tools come online.
