Yet another diplomacy question
So my objective is to make it a bit easier for the VC's to confederate with...the VC's. (Damn those acronyms...).
Now I know that the standard 'crack a nut with a sledgehammer' solution has been to go into the cultural affinities table and whack the values for the factions you want to play nicely together up to over 9000.
But that's not only inelegant its also going to have some serious side-effects - the war between the AI will quickly be resolved with a peace treaty.
What id like is to have the two VC factions going at each other's throats, and the loser confederating into the victor's faction.
It would seem to me that the solution then is to add some 'likes confederating' traits to both sides. But forrays into the diplomacy tables are new to me and since virtually all the established mods are just the 'cultural affinity to 9000!!!!!' solution I can't go digging through a similar one to see what needs doing.
I would also expect that I might have to add
So, tl;dr / things I need help to know:
- Which table controls which factions have which diplomatic traits? (I.e. 'likes confederating')
- cai_personality_deal_evaluation_deal_values_tables seems to hold the actual effects of these traits once assigned - can anyone help me with reading it? Explain what the fields are doing?
There're a lot of negative numbers which leads to believe that they're counting toward a value but I have no idea what the target is nor the baseline nor what effects it.
This is probably the meat of my issue. - Bit of a side question but; why does the cultural relations override table in data.pack have 8 entries called 'likes vampires' that target the god damn wood elves?
Many thanks in advance, props shall be given. Cookies are on back order.
