Marlborough Castle, Wiltshire
Marlborough Castle is one of the primary castles given as dower to a queen of England, along with Berkhamsted, Hertford, and Devizes. It is here that Margaret of France, the second and final wife of Edward Longshanks, keeps her country household. It is also serves as a larger royal residence much of the time. Before Margaret it was the property of Eleanor of Castile, and after her, presumably, it will be the possession of Queen Isabella.
