Note the changelog is comparing 2.3 to 2.2b. The changes in the test patches 2.2c-2.2r are summarised, rather than listed in detail there.

Music to my ears... Impressive! The 2.3 changelog sweeten the wait

    Great work, team!

Music to my ears. I can't play Attila Grand Campaign for the painfully slow AI turns -- and a number of other factors.

Yes, all the major releases are, and hopefully people will leave it seeding.

Absolutely! Most of us use that for these test installers, so there will be a number of us seeding once the final version it's released. That will speed up your downloads.

The bodyguard aren't cataphracts, but use the riders (ie the dudes, not the barded horses). The cataphracts are a recruitable unit.

Why!? The coolest and realistic thing was elephant bodyguard unit, chariot or horse were the next common. Hard to see Mauryan Generals on foot. Why not few number of elephants say max 3 with 2 mounted by chariot archers?

Any chance of Camelphracts? Camelroi? Scythed Camels?

Because elephants are bugged. They cause the AI to think they can launch assaults without siege equipment, leading to stalemate battles where they do nothing. The only way to avoid this is remove the most likely source of elephants for AI-Taksashila: the general's bodyguard.

We have evidence for Indian nobles fighting on foot (that's the basis of the chariot unit after all), so the natural thing is to go for them as the bodyguard and circumvent this bug.

If you had any idea how painful it was getting them to work; the seat for the rider is so high most weapons are too short to function in melee. Glad they do, though, they add something interesting to the factions in Arabia. Especially to cavalry-less Sab'yn.

The effort is much appreciated, I've literally been waiting for EB to have camels since I picked it up in 2011

I may do a Saba game solely for the purpose of training camels.

Yes, quite a few. The remaining factions, along with a revamp of an existing one is planned. There'll be a host more units and lots of new gameplay features.

Najran is where they come from, though be careful of the network of alliances in the south.
