[WIP-Submod] New Silver Shields

Last one for me. it would be cool to paint low reliefs and leave background bronze. Like sometimes they did for marble sculpture. Some where completely painted, some not.
But I don't know if it was so for shields, historically speaking.

I'm pretty sure you've researched it enough, but here, just few more examples of bronze glints to help you make up your mind:

One thing I learned while browsing btw is that bronze should have a bright golden-yellow tint, chocolate brownish tint is most probably a sign that thing is made of brass, not bronze. Compare for example:

I am quite happy with the current results, as I wanted to meet the tone of other bronce equipment in the game and most mods.
If you compare the shields on the latest picture with the helmets and breastplates, you can see that I got pretty close.
Close enough IMO.

I can and will do a more bronze looking version if people would like, though before I do that I´ll finish other factions.
I´ve found a few coins I want to bring onto Antigonid shields.

Is it a spear tip? I think the helmet (?) look very similar to Seleucid anchor, may be a bit confusing.

That‘s actually two sides of the same coin, one of them is the Shield with an ANT Monogram for Antigonos,
the other is with a helmet (and I think BAS for Basileon)

BTW, the helmet on the former coin is a konos.
It´s not quite sure how prevalent it was, but I can imagine that it was the most common one if ancient sources basically tell us it was "standard issue" for Macedonian armies. There are a few publications about how Alexander instigated such a rearmament shortly before his death.

I have started the progress on the heads, it takes a ot of time though.
I need to smooth over all those tiny dents and scratches, and that takes a lot of time with free programs like GIMP^^
I´ve once done the same with a Ptolemy IV coin, though the results were less than stellar,
my expertise with GIMP has increased since then, and I think I´m up to the task
