Durham approached the Duke of Gloucester once his forces had arrived. He had been with the Duke since they began the long march from north to south almost a year ago.

The Bishop is shown into Gloucester's tent, at a time that the reserve army was beginning to put out its fires and pull up its tent stakes in preparation to depart for the west: Lancastrian forces, far larger than their own, had been spotted to the north and were approaching.

Richard, who had been issuing orders to Ratcliffe and his other captains, greets the Bishop with a stern nod - there was no time for formalities, given the circumstances. "Revered Excellency. What might I help you with?"

    1360 men.

ooc: I don't know where these men are supposed to be. I'll post it for the record, if only.

"Your grace, I must say that I'm a bit concerned with this strategy of splitting the forces." He began "Especially when our only purpose will be to sit here and wait until called upon. It does not strike me as sound strategy."

"I agree. It has allowed Lancaster to try to pick us off in detail, like they're trying to now." Gloucester said grimly, nodding. His nephew was well-read, but evidently reading De Re Militari didn't necessarily translate to strategic genius. "It is why we are marching west with all haste, to join our hosts together."
