Trouble with Loading Saves

Hi, I've been using this mod without any problems for some time now. I installed it to my steam version of Medieval 2 Total War the way it was instructed. I ran it perfectly fine last night even, but today I encountered a problem. I cannot load my saves as the game freezes when I go to the load saves part of the menu. Is there anything that I can do to solve this issue? I'm already in the midst of several campaigns and I would prefer not to reinstall the mod.

Do you have autosave enabled? That corrupts saved games.

Would you recommend I reinstall EB2 then?

Maybe you have too many? Are there hundreds of files in that directory or something? Perhaps you can move some out of there to a backup location.

Is there any way for the mod to automatically disable auto-save? I tend to forget to do it and it ruins my game when the save start to become corrupted. I just lost a Baktria game even though I reloaded earlier uncorrupted saves, it inevitably breaks when I try to load despite disabling auto-saves. Why is auto-save so broken?
