    Default Burning Warwickshire

300 horsemen roll into the countryside around Coventry - not wearing any livery badges of course (why would they) - begin to seek out the manors and estates owned by Clarence and his son by Old Warwick's daughter. One by one they pilfer and take what they want from each manor and then proceed to burn them to the ground. The burn the fields as well and the violence also falls on innocent heads, razing hamlets and farmers' holds alike.

Raid roll on province 5, Coventry/Warwick (average income)
    +2 to raid rolls

Afterwards, they move north to the lordship of Meriden #8 (average) and do the same there. 30 minutes; Followed by Aetherstone/Astley/Hartshill #7 (average, 30 minutes) and Rugby #6 (average, 30 minutes)

    Raiders 300 Mounted Archers
    • £10 per man, £7 in upkeep
    • These are selectively chosen longbowmen taken into the retinue of a lord, or otherwise have found and acquired horses. They are intended to combine the mobility of mounted warfare with the power of the longbow.
    • Halve all casualties caused on these men in a rout or retreat
    • Halve all casualties caused on these men from archer fire
    • +10 if clean line of sight to massed target formation
    • -5 if firing into Wooded Terrain.
    • Can move across 2 Flanks, or move across 1 and fight in it, per Battle Round.
    • -5 in Rough, Marshy, Hilly, and Wooded Terrain.
    • +2 to raid rolls

Buckingham's men lose 4% (12 men) to armed resistance from the local Yeomen loyal to Clarence; however the manors surrounding Warwick castle are easily overcome, with £600 looted in treasure.

Meridien: £270 is looted with no casualties

Aetherstone: 15 men are lost, and £30 is looted

    Rugby: £30 is looted

    Long term effects:
Warwick doesn't make any income next year in addition to the income taken this year. Meridian makes only half income next year in addition to the income this year.

    Bromsgrove yields 600.
    Droitwitch yields 360
Evesham yields 600, with 3% casualties
    Pershore yields 510

Word reaches Clarence that a neighbouring magnate has begun pillaging much of his demesne.
