Bedford and Salisbury send some men to greet the newcomers, who are then led to where both lords are waiting. Salisbury wears a suit of Milanese plate, the one crafted for him in during the war with France, while Bedford prefers a more simple one, but still as good, coming from the hands of the Rhennish smiths.
"My lords of Devon and Kent, you have brought a numerous host, my sister thanks you both"
"I still hope a peaceful solution can be reached, my lords."
The Earl of Kent did not belong in a battlefield. His best weapon was his tongue, not his sword.
"Alas, I fear not even your silver tongue will be of use this time, Lord Kent"
Said Salisbury. The suit of armor was polished like a mirror, and closely fit to Grey's thin limbs.
"They will be reined, by the mere use of force"
Bedford, who looked increasingly more depressed as time passed by, just nodded. Moments after, he added:
"Lord Kent, brother, we know you are no man of the sword, but in dire times everyone must try to defend what is rightfully ours"
"The only thing a peaceful solution would accomplish, my lords of Kent and Salisbury and your grace, is to just delay the resolution of this struggle over his majesty's regency until both parties may muster additional soldiery or make other political maneuvering." Devon states. The earl is wearing the armor commissioned for the French War for himself, refurbished and repaired by the smiths in Devon's employ while being originally purchased from a smithy in Burgundy.
