    Sorry for delay, forgot to pay my internet bill in a while so they cut me off until I paid. Will get to this sometime tommorow or the next. (I remember downloading this mod on my previous computer and had problems gettintg it to work. May or may not have the same problem.)

    Middleheim & middenland [subbed ]



    The armies of middleheim and middenland numbering 5 armies and a mercenary army withdraw behind what is becoming the traditional defense line of the Wolf's Run river , as per the emperors request..

    although unfortunately they cannot obey the emperor's orders of detaching a army group towards emsk, as 2 further chaos armies have arrived from the east, from kislev and the coffers for the middleheim land is bankrupt , for holding the supporting costs of 6 amies, thus we have nothing to build forts , and therefore they cannot build any fortifications for a army to move in range of 2 enemy armies from the east.

    As for the chaos armies they have pushed southwards across the lnysk river smashing aside all resistance, as ostland defenses collapse, and all empire armies evacuate to safety...

    hochland was reduced to a mere two armies groups [in the east , near kislev and another sieging talabheim , the old capital of Talabecland, and with a slight advantage in numbers , and a fierce and devastating attack , Prince Godwin led the second army of hochland breaking the orks initial sally out of the city, and then the humans spent three whole days scourging the city of the orkish remnants troops until it was clear...but the old capital city was devastated in the attack , and was never going to be the bastion of troops as it was in the past , as most of the human population had been destroyed by the conflict, and by the orks rule of the region.

    Equally thou, the attack , broke the second army of hochland, for every ork that perished made, sure that at least one human was taken with hum , breaking the strength of the force, and so prince Godwin reluctantly retreated his force back across the river for safeties sake in case of orkish retaliation, whilst the provinces of hochland which were still antiquated would take time to repair his losses.

    Ostland was again at risk of being overrun and with the emperors order to withdraw to hochland to make another defense of the wolfs run river, most of ostland fell into deep despair..for their people had endured chaos overlordship once [those that survived] and many had no wish to experience it again, and massive evacuations began heading westwards towards hochland and beyond, miring the roads, and making movement difficult.



    It was in this vein, that Ricco head of the mercenaries the emperor sent, arrived at Wolfvenburg , and found the count elect of Ostland , drunk on his throne , declaring to all nearby that he would fight his last battle here at the capital. Being commanded by the emperor to make a defense of this area [Ostland would not have the funds soon to support his troops] , he ordered some of his troops to tie up the count and have him "moved" to a city south of the capital , to keep his safe. The golden armored soldiers of Ricco republican guard were none to careful in their handling of the elderly old man in his sixties , in their treatment of him , and endured many a rough blow and vicious words, as they obeyed their commander but slowly the deed was done.



    Many of stout dwarfven people though , where not keen on the withdrawal promising Ricco they would wear their ancestral armour and give a good accounting of themselfs in this 2nd battle of Wolfvenburg, and even Ricco was impressed by their discipline. This was a good thing , as it enabled him to keep some republican guard in a fort to the east of the capital to further buy time for the defenders. There was some republican guard left over, and Ricco decided to send them south with Valmir [the count elect] to ensure his safe travel to the south before the wrote a message to the emperor.

    Talabecland heard the rumours of the renewed offensive from the chaos forces from the north, but there was hope with rumors of a orkish withdrawal in the south. Certainly hochland had mounted a attack on the old capital city of talabecland , abit successfully , but such was the rapid movement rate of the orks, that the men of talabecland , who only had 2 army groups left were fearful of committing any strength south of the river, for fear of being trapped out of position particularly if their strength would be required against the forces of chaos, that seem to be ever approaching...



    The mighty grandmaster of the knights of the bull from Ostland wished to fight his way out , and start another offensive to the east, to recapture the city of kislev and start a campaign from their, and certainly the forces of talabecland were up for some offensive action, but to do this would miss their chance of perhaps recapturing old talabecland towns , and bring them back into their fold. Siegfried mind was spinning from what he should do, but the main thing he needed was intelligence from the other factions , for he did'nt know where the orkish strength or movement was ? and until he had some scope of their numbers and directions he was loath to commit his troops.

    the forces of ostermark where disturbed thoughtout a few forts guarding the river and inside hochland, but barely perhaps numbering a full army group , there homeland, far forgotten as a possibility to reclaim..perhaps the most worrying side , for this merest of factions , was from viewing from the town they had been given which was based near the capital city of marienburg, which was placed under blockade from ships bearing chaos flags and markings as a real sign of Chaos's dominance.

    Stirland reports signs of the orks gathering at Kemperbad, possibility a regrouping of the green clans weathering the winter and preparing a strike deep into the empire, if they head westwards with the spring.

    Rain drenched the tents of the weary Averland army. What had begun as a campaign of such promise had turned into a nightmare. One of Averland's greatest generals was dead, slain with all his men. Vengence was within Averland's grasp, but still more Orc armies crowded around them. Count Marius stared at his map in disbelief. It, once more, became clear to him that the prospect of actually holding the Border Princes was an impossibility. His supply lines were too stretched and it was too close to the Orc's mountain holds where even now new hordes of greenskins were marshaling. Therefore, with a heavy heart, the Count ordered a withdrawal. No songs were sung as the men of Averland trudged through the mud, back towards Munzig.

    In the north, meanwhile, things were more promising. The lands around Hornau, drenched so often in the blood of both sides, were once again awash with blood. After seeing Averland's spies open their gates repeatedly, the Orc commanders took extra precautions to ensure they were not fooled again. These came to naught as Averland once again sallied out across the river, this time with cannons. The battles were quick and overwhelming, and by dusk over a fifteen hundred Orcs lay slain in return for a few hundred of men.




    These gains were quickly abandoned, however, in the face of overwhelming odds. Reports had begun pouring in that the lost province of Sylvania was teeming with greenskins, and it seemed that those reports were accurate. An urgent message was, therefore, sent back to Averland from the Count himself: "send more men."
