Seizure of Assets

Mirroring the Duke of Exeter's assignment at the London Steelyard, the Earl of Cambridge is now busy trying to seize Hansa assets at smaller ports around the country, leading a force of several hundred and equipped with his own royal warrant for such seizures. Kyriell's first stop is New Romney, a port town conveniently close to his seat at Westenhanger.

£800 is seized by Kyriell's men from New Romney. They don't put up a fight in the face of such armed resistance, but nonetheless are very unhappy about it.

After the goods and money had been tallied up, Kyriell and his men made their way to the port of Hastings, in the west. They will, of course, still bring their royal warrant to justify what they're about to do.

Barry has enlightened me to his desire to hit all five ports of the Clinque Ports. That means the range for each raid will be 1,000 - 2,000 and rounded to the nearest 100.

The next port visited by the Earl of Cambridge, the port of Hastings, had a sizable amount of goods confiscated. A number of the merchants were forced to flee while those who tried to fight were captured.

The next stop on Cambridge's list of Hansa to plunder: their outpost at the Cinque Port of Hythe, in Elham.

So the rolls for the other 3 Cinque ports are:

Hythe - 2'000 pounds
Dover - 1'500 pounds
Sandwich- 1'000 pounds
Ipswich - 1'700 pounds

Cambridge's plan now is to finish looting the other Cinque Ports, go to Ipswich and deposit the funds from said Cinque Ports at London along the way, and then return to London after ransacking the remaining Hansa outpost at Ipswich. (as evidenced by the above rolls and movements in the Positions thread)
