AMD Dual-Core Optimizer problem
I just updated my PC today with a new amd dual core processor. The first thing I did when I got home with it was to download AMD's dual core optimizer program.
Well, I installed it and it prompted me to restart my computer, so I did. When the computer rebooted, I didnt see any icon for it in the system tray. I went to the directory where I installed it and double clicked on the icon, but all that happened was that I got the hourglass mouse icon for a split second and that was it...still nothing in the system tray.
This really sucks because I spent $500 upgrading this computer, but without the optimizer the games that I've tried so far run worse than the setup I had before. So, can anybody help me with this?
BTW, specs for the comp are:
-GeForce 7800GTX 256MB
-AMD Athlon X2 4600+
-ASUS A8N32 SLI Deluxe
-2GB Dual-channel RAM (can't remember which kind)
-190GB Hard Drive (again, can't remember which kind)
