By order of Edward of Lancaster, King of England, Jerusalem, Naples and Ireland, Duke of Lancaster, Duke of Bar, all Englishmen remaining in France are invited to come and make their obeisance and homage to their rightful King through his proxy, Sir Roger de Clifford. All men loyal to the House of Lancaster are called to Reims, from there to march to Bar as vassals of the King of England.
Rewards and gifts will be granted to those of stout heart and loyal service. All soldiers who take up arms with their rightful King will, of course, be guaranteed full pay, as well as food and board in his Duchy of Bar.

News reaches England in the wake of the king's death that the other Edward still lives - King Henry's son Edward of Westminster has become the Duke of Bar, by will of his grandfather, by descent from his hated mother, Margaret d'Anjou. Though the kingdom's folk and nobility now have long recognized the Act of Accord of 1460 by which Richard of York was made heir to Henry VI by parliament disinheriting Edward of Westminster, the name of Lancaster still rings from across the narrow sea.
Roll for mercenaries that answer the call:
1,200 men march to take up the colors of the Duke of Bar.
480 Yeoman Footmen
480 Yeoman Archers
240 Men-at-Arms

Words spread throughout the realm - John Howard, Baron Howard, has passed away from a heart attack in September 1481. The family gathers at the family estate in Colchester for mourning ceremonies. All of Lord Howard's titles and possessions pass to his eldest son, Thomas Howard, now titled the 2nd Baron Howard.
In a few weeks after the death of King Edward IV, the Archdiocese of York reports the death of the Archbishop of York and Lord Chancellor of England, George Neville. The cause of death was a severe heart attack that caused him to fall into a comatose. Several attempts to revive him failed and he was in God's hands, several days later. George is to be buried at York Minister where a mass is to be held in his name.
After some debate among the clergy of England, Thomas Rotherham, Bishop of Rochester and Lincoln, was nominated and confirmed as George Neville's successor to the post of Archbishop of York.

The Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, Lord John Shrewsbury, summons all the Lords in Ireland to Malahide Castle.
Us, Edward of Grafton, King of England, France, Ireland, Castile and Leon, Duke and Lord of Gascony, Count of Ponthieu, declare that we have found evidence of treason in our lap, with mine uncles, my Lords of Gloucester and Clarence, attempting to exert power tyranically, trying to subvert succession for their own mischevous ends and goals. That cannot and shall not be, none but us are the Sun of York, God appointed ruler of this island of England and all its dependencies. They already have troops in our city of London, that we intend to remove, forcefully if necessary, for ours is the throne and the authority, the scepter and the crown. We are at the head of a force of loyal men, all of them good servants of York, and will demand our entry in London. Our said uncles shall resign their offices inmediately or fear our righteous wrath and impending chastise. Instead, our mother, Lady Elizabeth, and a counsel of nobles, peers of reknown, shall lead a fair government in our stead.
With our rightful authority, we decree the following:
-The regency shall be deposited in the hands of mine mother, Lady Elizabeth Woodville, until mine own age legally allows me to rule alone, as it's our birthright both as blessed sovereign of England and head of the house of York, heir to Richard Plantagenet, king by right.
-My Lords of Exeter, Norfolk, Rivers, Essex, Buckingham and Northampton shall be acknowledged as co-regents, part of the said advisory advisory body of peers that shall counsel and support us, their liege. All men of proven skills, proper age and undoubted loyalty.
-Richard of Gloucester and George of Clarence shall resign their offices and bend the knee, swearing fealty to us and remain in our graces. If they do so, they shall be pardoned, fully, and will be free to serve in whatever cappacity we deem worthy and necessary, for they shall always be heard and loved, if they prove to be reasonable.
In the name of God, given at Eltham.

Word spreads that the Archbishop of Canterbury has dabbled in banking, offering loans to those children of God most in need at charitable rates.
