    Default Positions of the Armies

Use this thread to detail the forces of Armies within the Realm, as well as to post movements. Please be specific with movements. If you lack detail, the shortest distance by simply drawing a straight line will be assumed. Post any additions to your forces other than your original levy. Total army sizes should be kept track of within home threads.

    Guidelines to Movement of Armies

    - Each hex has a different time value due to the presence of various terrain.
--> Moving through any province (outside of Wales and Ireland) is 30 mins
--> Moving through Wales is 45 mins per province
--> Moving through Ireland is 40 mins per province

    - After a battle or raid, an army must remain stationary for 6 RL hours.
    - After a battle or raid, a retreating army returns to the nearest friendly keep or back to where they marched from. They cannot move for 6 RL hours afterwards.

    Post in this thread detailing:
    - A rough outline of your route plan (eg moving from London to York)
    - The troops you are moving
    - The time it will take in total
    - The rough arrival time

Be aware of the following guidelines
Knave (Shire levies) (Tier 1) troops are quickly raised troops (6 hours) and comprised mostly of archers with a light presence of footmen (75% archers, 25% footmen).

Yeomen (Tier 2) troops are where the bulk of the heavier and better quality troops lie. They are comprised of hired troops.

Noble (Tier 3) troops is comprised entirely of heavy cavalry and their number is based on the wealth of their employer/rank.

The Duke of Gloucester's troops move from Dover to London. With the Lancastrians now known to have been entrenched in Bar (and its resources) after seventeen years of languishing in exiled poverty and the Royal Navy largely mothballed, it has been determined - after dialogue between the two Lords Protector - that the next best thing they can do is physically secure the capital, in case the Red Rose throws them any surprises in the leadup to Edward V's coronation. Clearly.

    ETA: 3 and 1/2 - 4 hours

Having left his troops in Gloucester upon his arrival back to England, the Duke of Clarence orders his men to depart from his lands in Gloucestershire for London. After the conversation with the Duke of Gloucester, his brother, George felt the extra security was needed to secure the city for the coming of Edward V's coronation and other reasons.

    It's about 3 hours, LW.

Its also 6 hours to recruit soldiers. And why are you moving to London? Mercer or Berkeley don't know what's going on there.
