    Default Army Split and Population

    Guys,

based on the departure of the modder working on these, is it true the new release wont have any of these items?!!!!!!!!

Right now we are just working on getting a release. Split army definitely will not be in anything released on the first go around and we discussed this a while back.

I apologize to everyone waiting for this mod to be out. The delays and lack of communication are predominantly if not entirely my fault.

The modder who was advertising those features (Hardballer) greatly exaggerated progress. The population system he was working on was purely mockup UI and wasn't functional whatsoever in-game, and the split army mechanics were unfinished and had many issues that meant it wasn't playable.

We have the code for most of the features he was working on but we aren't using it due to their extremely unfinished state.

My manpower system (which I started a long time ago before Hardballer joined AE) should eventually be in AE instead, although it's unknown when that'll be (it may be some time after release).

Would the manpower system be like dei's population feature?

On some level, yes. PoR2 (the first released full population system that was ported into DeI) was originally developed alongside AE's manpower, in fact, in collaboration.

you know what irks me about the population counter it says 1 and gains 1 every few turns wish there was a mod that just adds 3 0's for aesthetics lol
