    What I meant was whether all your mod files are actually there. The R2 mod manager sometimes deletes them and then the game cant find the files you load and crashes on startup. Also, if you run the mods via a user.script, remember to turn them off in the mod manager. Other than that, I can only recommend you use the two-part non-steam version from the main download thread.

    OK, you were right. The patch pack file wasn't there which may have been my fault with all the deleting and pasting trying to get the user script to work. Once I inserted the patch file, I deleted everything in the user script. Then brought up the splash screen and hit the mod manager. Everything came up, but the patch pack had the yellow triangle of death on it noting that it was a file for an older version of the game. I selected all the mods and the button for older mods and the game came up. So I guess everything's in and working. Can't thank you enough. Plus rep.

    So using the user script isn't necessary at all?

    "With a population of around a million, Rome (in Claudius' time) was a vast city even by modern standards. It is worth pointing out that during the early Renaissance the population of Rome was no more than fifteen thousand-- living amid the ruins of a civilization that dwarfed their own. It was not until the nineteenth century that the population of Rome returned to the levels it had enjoyed under the Caesars. That is eloquent proof of the fact that human history is not a tale of steady progress towards greater knowledge and achievement." Simon Scarrow

    mod "Caesarslegionspatch.pack"; was the old file I made for XIIICaesar's first version of the mod, it isn't required indeed. As long as you don't use any other mods that include scripts, you could just launch it through the normal mod manager since my patch is placed at the front of the row I think.

    You're welcome. People tell me if you don't use the user.script, it works but you have to rename the files so they are in the right order and make sure the right ones are selected in the mod manager. I change mods around a lot, so it's easier for me to load them via the user.script. Also, I use no steam versions any more, because the manager seems to randomly delete the files. If a mod is only available on steam, I save the files and load them via the script.

    I'd actually like to do the same thing as I've got sub mods I want to activate. However, since there's only the Steam version of this mod, How do you integrate this with the other non-Steam mods? Do I unsubscribe to Dei and this in Steam then delete the Steam version of Dei from the R2 data file leaving the Steam version of this there and then install the others in the alphabetical order in which they should implement?

    Could I impose on you to show what your user script file looks like?

    Sorry to be such a noob, but I've never messed with Steam mods before this one.

    You subscribe to the steam version to get the file, save it somewhere else and unsubscribe from steam. Then the files get auto-deleted next time you open mod manager, but you got a backup, which you can copy back into the data folder like any non-steam pack file. Best to rename the files so steam won't delete them again. Then disable everything in mod manager. It doesn't matter what else is in your data folder, you throw it all in there in any order and activate the ones you want via the user.script in the proper order. Always with the ones on top that should overwrite the changes of those lower down. So e_umcenturionlegions is a modification of divide_et_impera_release_12 and goes on top of it, while UMslegionspatch is a modification of e_umcenturionlegions and goes on top of that. I happen to have a submod that renames the units into english that goes even higher. Other than that, just make sure you have the right names and a common mistake is to forget the .pack.

    My current user.script is this: (warning, I renamed some stuff)
    Code:
    mod "@@@@nosynccombat.pack";
    mod "@all_walled_DeI.pack";
    mod "@_deisubmod_englishfactionnames_city_confederates.pack";
    mod "@_deisubmod_vanillacitynames_12_beta.pack";
    mod "@english_legionaires.pack";
    mod "@_deisubmod_englishunitnames.pack";
    mod "@____user_mod_b.pack";
    mod "@a_DeI_BuildTechTime_submod.pack";
    mod "@___expansion_limit_script.pack";
    mod "@deiincreasedupkeepcost.pack";
    mod "@no_assasination_attempts.pack";
    mod "@doubletime12.pack";
    mod "@NoPOGarrison.pack";
    mod "@a_NoPop_Submod.pack";
    mod "@@@@@UMslegionspatch_fixpack.pack";
    mod "@e_umcenturionlegions.pack";
    mod "_divide_et_impera_release_12_Part1_patch18.pack";
    mod "_divide_et_impera_release_12_Part2.pack";
    As for DeI, you can just download the 2-part non-steam version from the main page. People tell me it has fewer issues that the steam one. If you haven't opted into the Power and Politics beta, then go to previous versions and download the ones for patch 17.

    All - thank you for the continued interest in this mod. I have been absent for a while, but seems like workarounds have been added. I'll be working on combining everything on the steam link for the legions. I have recently updated the mod to include new unit cards. Those subscribed should have seen that update in last few days. Again, thank you much for all the support!

    can you make caesarian legionaries' helemt things completely? cause caesarian have no helmet textures[only bronze helmet no feather or wrong feather] + wrong armors too

    Wrong feather?

    Yeah he asked the same thing once this mod was released a few months ago, the textures and assets used by the Caesarean legions are part of the original mod, and UM didn't change those as far as I'm aware, so they stand out, not sure why he keeps calling them wrong or broken though.

    Did Caesars legions use a particular helmets or feathers? I didnt even know they looked different than other marian legions. Why do they stand out?

    Beats me. Haven't used them yet.

    vanilla asset[camilian, polybian] to caesarian was wrong. so i called it wrong. only shield is different[not centurion, centurion have weird yellow shield] and armors + their looks were same to I ~ XXXXX legions

    even standard bearer have no wolf pelt on helmet. which marian and imperial have.[even caesarian legions were later version of marian legions]

    and i want to play caesar in gaul with this mod. but that ugly look just make me sick... and i don't know how to imply texture thing.

    If I might add a little nitpick. While first cohorts did have double-sized centuries, they only had 5 instead of 6 centuries, so the number of men in them would have been 1.66 times that of a normal cohort, not double. Or 800/480 = 5/3, to be precise. A fitting num_men entry for main_units_tables would be 332 instead of 400.

    Great mod and an essential addition to DEI. One observation though I see that the numbered legions and many officers do not have the scabbards and pugio attached to the models in game? Is this intentional or will they be added at a later date? thanks.

    I'm guessing the pugio wasn't in Caesar's original mod yet, where UM's mod is based upon, I also seem to have read that the scabbards were removed from units again.

    Dardo, your mods are no more needed in order to get these legions in the GC campaign right? I play with Little Legionaire reskin submod, plus this one.

    I just checked the main mod and UM has incorporated the 1.2.2. changes, but it's not brought in line with the new combat beta, however i've made a small patch that changes the stats for the units to the ones used in the new battle system. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0Bz...HIzTU9rc0dNNVk

    @Clint, yeah you can sent those to me or UM, maybe better both :p
