    Default High Definition TV question.

I am thinking of taking the plunge into HDTV and have had my eye on a nice looking LG 26" LCD.

the sole reason i'm buying this is too play my X360 on because apparently it makes the games look amazingly better.
i have no interest in actual channels or progrmas, just the games console.

however the tv is HD-ready.Will the TV play 360 games in HD?
or will i have to buy an HDMI tv?

because i'm very confused as to whether HD-ready tv's will allow me to play the games in high definition.

this HD nonsense is so confusing,i wish companies would explain things better.

Well, for my living room TV, which is HD ready, the 360 just plugs right into the back and there we go.

I just purchased a smaller HD for my room that is HD ready, and I expect the same though I will confirm tomorrow when it arrives.

I don't think it matters, and the 360 should just plug right in.

    Do you have Xbox live?

this is how the HD connection should look:

    http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/sy...ole/tvhdtv.htm

at the moment only 3 of those wires plugs in on the TV i have at the moment, the standard def red, white and yellow.

i was wondering will a HD-ready tv have the other inputs like the one shown or will it just have the average SD?

do i need a HDMI tv to have those inputs like the image on the website shows.

    Long answer:
HD Ready means that it is capable of displaying images at HD resolutions (usually 720P or 1080i sometimes 1080P). Almost every HD-Ready and HD TVs will have the connections you want (the red, green, and blue ones, called a component connection). HDMI (High Definition Media Interface) is another kind of connection/cable not a kind of TV and Xbox 360 doesn't support it.

Short answer: The TV will work fine.
