Is there a way to make Attila campaign look more like Rome 2?

I hate Warhammer!

I like Attila and Rome 2 but they too have their issues. Is there a mod that makes campaign for Attila more like Rome 2 where it's just starting as a regional power rather than being the 1 of 3 players.

I dislike Rome 2's base building, unit cards (atrocious) and a lot of other minor things that makes me stop playing after a few days. With Attila, I dislike playing huge major power or these Barbarians.

Can anyone recommend a mod?

I've tried some of Rome 2's but they have core designs taken from Rome 2 that linger on the mod..

I tried to install this mod it doesn't seem to be working. Unfortunately, I have the steam version of the Attila but even though I installed all the mods (Part 1-3), it doesn't seem to launch with the mod?
