I dont think the Queen has to worry too much about her competition quite yet!

Why is a muslim commenting on xmas anyway? I dont understand the point of an 'alternative' message for a holiday that is in itself a christian one....will we be seeing christians offering alternative messages in Saudi Arabia for Ramadan?

For the same reason why she wears that veil:
    Because she's an attention whore.

To literally provide an alternative to anyone who doesn't want to listen to the Queen but still want something to see/listen to on Christmas since all the shops are closed and they have nothing better to do.

    Secondly: see above.

But most importantly: Channel 4 wanted to pull at least some viewers away from the BBC.

Yes Im aware of that but it misses the point that Xmas is a western cultural/religious 'thing' and fail to see why there is any desire to offer an 'alternative' message to that. Its a moot point anyway if it didnt broadcast as the above poster has indicated.

How is that so? Please elaborate more.

i dispise that demonic thing. Why would anyone want to wear some crazy black veil over their body is ridiculous. Whenever i see a woman walking around like that i think to myself, "there goes another moronic slave".

Cultural thing, westerners (and not limited to just them but alot of other groups) prefer to see the face of the person they dealing with...I suppose when I can walk down a street in Mecca with a cross around my neck, a pair of shorts and carrying a six pack Ill be a bit more forgiving of the veil

The part where she talks about the cartoon incident cracks me up. The West should be more tolerant? Are you ****ing kidding me lady?

Edit: Oh and also don't kill the Muslims in Afghanistan. Even if they're shooting at you. Her double standards are laughable and pathetic.

To elaborate, I believe women should have the vote but they shouldnt terrorise respectable people who have nothing to do with the process, which is what the suffragettes did. This woman is a fifth columnist, pure and simple.

I always thought Channel 4 WAS BBC owned. I'm not British though, it's just what I had concluded. Which network owned the Ali G show?

no channel 4 is an independent channel althought partly owned by ITV.
channel 4 was know as an alternative channel for young adults and edgy documentaries.

then it evolved into a soft core smut peddler with an assortment of porno shows such as eurotrash, after channel 5 took that position, it is now a half reality tv show channel, half radical looney left mouthpiece and supporter.

i wish it would go back to its soft core porn days

Channel 4 has gone all political these days, the other month they showed a documentary on the insurgents in Iraq, at one point a camera crew was following a death squad which ended up with some poor soul getting shot. Yes that's right that broadcasted a person getting actually shot to death, all in the name of ratings. The only thing Channel 4 done well was the their Cricket coverage of England’s Test matches, they brought in some interesting and innovative ideas as to how the game was analysis.

Going back this alternative Christmas Message story, it’s just another pathetic attempt by the Channel 4 to boost their falling viewing figures. The other problem these types of programmes only attract a select audience namely the Labour liberal PC elite type that hosts fancy dinner parties in and around London. Judging by the fact there was no reports in the papers about the message denting the Queens message, I wonder if C4 will do it again next Christmas? By marginalising itself, advertisers will not want to advertise there products on Channel 4, that’s the biggest worry I would have if I were a C4 exec.
