Game freezes (Steam version)

Hi, I have a similar problem with Medieval 2 + kingdoms (steam version). When I try to start the game, only intro screen will appear and then it freezes. I have a windows 10 64-bit. Few days ago I received an update of my nvidia driver (NVIDIA - Display - 5/1/2017 12:00:00 AM - 22.21.13.8205). Not sure if this is the problem, but I guess so. Before the update the game runs just fine. I tried to reinstall M2 and steam several times, sadly with no effect.
Can anyone help me with this problem?

Last year I had a similar issue with one of Nvidia's driver updates and that update more or less made my modded Oblivion *corrupt*, so I simply switch back to the old Nvidia driver that worked and blocked further updates from Nvidia.

I also removed Oblivion and haven't install it since then.


So I suggest that you try to go back to older driver first and see if that helps, otherwise you might need to reinstall M2TW and restore the old driver via a System restore point in Windows.

Sorry for the error above.
Unfortunately I cannot roll-back the driver via device manager (the option is not available, so I think it means there is no previous driver version available). In the list of events of the nvidia driver I (hopefully) find the previous version, but I´m unable to find it for download. I would appreciate if anyone can give me a hand with this, too :-) . Below this post is thethe installation report of the version I need.

This page from Nvidia let's you download old drivers, simply add your card's details and choose 'Recommended' then search - from the list choose a suitably old driver. Haven't tried myself to install an older driver, hopefully it will get accepted.
