    So Iīve started a new campaign as Epeiros. This time it crashed quite quickly (turn 5 I think), specifically when I was disbanding a unit (though I did that several times before and it was ok). The 2.2q really does seem less stable - at least for me. The log is too big for me to post here - are you interested in some particular part of it? Or can I post it differently.

    PS: Sorry for making a new thread - but that one said Boioi, so Iīve decided Iīll make a new one for this faction. Though I really think these crashes arenīt faction related.

    You should be able to post it if you compress it. Or post last section of log.

    The log has over 800 Mb - compressed it still has 12 Mb. The problem is I cannot open it in Notepad++ either, since it is too big. Tried to do it in normal Notepad, but that crashes. I might be able to upload it to some storing place and give you link. Should I try that?

    I think you should post that compressed one somewhere.

    If it has 800 Mb it means you have trace logging enabled during the whole game. That is making the game unstable as it has to keep 800 MB file in memory and growing with every turn and action you make.

    change your log config file to this

    [log]
    to = mods/ebii/logs/eb.system.log.txt
    #level = * TRACE
    level = * ERROR


    Your game will be faster and more stable. then if you encounter another specific crash change it to

    [log]
    to = mods/ebii/logs/eb.system.log.txt
    level = * TRACE
    #level = * ERROR

    Ah, I think I finally get it. Quintus told me to switch it to trace, but he probably meant just to get the log. And I didnīt get that so I kept it as it was. So I should change it and try to play again. And only if it crashes should I change it to trace and try to recreate the crash - am I getting this right?

    Yes, that is the safest approach.

    Yes, sorry I wasn't clear. You only switch trace on when you hit a repeating CTD, otherwise it needs to be off.
