Re: Searching a Bishop
Among the clergy of England, hardly no one could say they did not know of them. William of Whykeham was well known for administration skills under Edward III and Richard II as well as building three universities which stand as among the greatest centers of intellectuals within the Kingdom and known throughout Europe. His fellow clergyman, Henry le Despenser, is the grandson of the 1st Lord Despenser and reputed as the 'Fighting Bishop.' This nickname was gained through his military service during the Peasant Revolts of 1381 and participating at the Battle of North Walsham. Furthermore, he also fought in Italy and had led a crusade, Norwich's Crusade, against Flanders in 1383. He is also very anti-Lollardy, like the Archbishop of York.
The two men come to court and warmly greet the Earl of Cambridge who received them well. By now, both men were aged; Norwich was 60 and Winchester was 80. Yet they had the indomitable spirits that made them great bishops and well-respected among the Kingdom of England. They both suspected and wondered about the invitation to court however as they followed Cambridge further into Westminister.

Re: Searching a Bishop
Both men were led into an available office in Westminster. Both men were offered refreshments. Generally the Earl of Cambridge would've talked to both men separately. However the earl realized these men were not young and overly ambitious anymore so they could be trusted no to foul talk one an other.
"Honorable bishops." He began, somewhat anxious as this was his first important royal job. "The King, His Grace Henry the fourth of that name, has asked me to talk to you both. Both of you are well known bishops within the realm. If I were to ask each of you, who you would like to see as the new Archbishop of Canterbury. Who would you name?" Richard asked politely. His tone was considered his normal talking voice, no special interpretations could be given on that regard. "It's well known the seat of Archbishop of Canterbury has been long vacant. Speak freely your eminences."
