Editing game settings' parameters

Hi folks,

I would like to know how to edit, if that's even possible, the game settings' parameters. My goal is to tweak the "projectile trail" option a little to correct a bug (basically, if you deactivate projectile trail the dwarf Flame Canon projectiles are no longer visible).

Can someone help me with that one?
