Any mentions of Ralph Nader make me laugh. I honestly don't know why.
I have no idea who that guy it, but he sounds more likely than me becoming a neo-conservative :p
I finished there to Christmas. Stayed there for 7 months to learn the language and such. The classes were kinda wasted as the ones I wanted were changed to the spring half. Ended up taking german and pollen archaeology to make it all come together.
Was interesting though! I can recommend the island. Do not get stuck in Isafjördur in December like we did though.
Now I'll do the same again, but this time to the Faroe Islands to learn the language.
If I can. A bachelor in Old Norse philology is probably useless after school. Especially with mediocre grades in runes.

Pollen Archaeology? I would not think this would be a class outside of maybe a Graduate School.
Unlikely I will get a chance. For years, there was only one "international school" in Iceland (of that name). The highest grade they offered was grade 6. When a second one opened (Reykjavik international school) its doors not too long ago, they started to add grade slowly. As of now, they offer only to year/grade 9. RIS offer no benefits at all (no flight, accommodation or Visa assistance.) Accommodation isn't a bad thing... not all school's offer you accommodations. However, flights can be expensive and all school's offer flights (at the very least) at the beginning and end of the initial contract. Many give you yearly flights. Some will pay for dependence or give a small stipend for dependence.
I know how that is. I majored in History. Mostly you either go into Law School, Teaching, or drive a UPS truck.

Rickrolling is so passe. There is something better on the markets these days.
Well, I passed my driving test this morning. I mucked up the reverse park a little but everything else was fine. I even ended up with more points than last time.
Congrats! Niles; I'll be sure to stay off the sidewalks.

I drove around for about an hour just now (mainly to pick up some celebratory liquor) and goodness, driving is easy. I was so scared of doing it on my own that I've been delaying getting this licence. To be fair you couldn't get better traffic conditions than I had, and driving at night at peak hour will be a challenge when it comes, but there's no hurry.
Or if you prefer you can also get Sandrolled.
